We were very disappointed with our stay. Allowing for the previous wet weather conditions the facilities were run down and not maintained. There was no dump point. Power was sub-standard. No water on our site. We had to go and purchase more hoses and run them from 3 sites away. At $40 per night it was definitely not up to the standard of other showgrounds which cost between $25 - $28 per night.n.
I attended Aladdins Antique & Collectables Fair. It was a hot day, and the ventilation was very poor, so for us dealers, it was difficult to bear over the two days. In summer, they should have overhead fans.nThe ambience suited the antiques and collectable fair that we had.nThe toilets definitely need to be updated.nThere is plenty of place for parking and camping.
Went to the Samford Show for the first time in many years. We had a good day. I was disappointed at how expensive the food and games were though. $10 for a dagwood dog is ridiculous. $8-$10 to put 5 ping pong balls in a clown's mouth and to throw darts at balloons is quite excessive. However, the staff at the games were lovely. The dart game vendor kept giving us the darts that missed back for another go.
My little one and i joined in the fun at Samford music in the valley, held at the Samford Showgrounds. There were approximately 300 people, 10 food vans and lots of fun for the kids. It was awesome. The music was incredible. It was a chilled vibe with a really good crowd
Great event, lot of stalls, rides, shows, animals. The best was jumping dogs show.
