Had breakfast here on a weekend - got seats easily but can get busy. Good ambience inside, not too noisy. The menu has a selection of a few classic dishes with some quirky dishes. I couldn't go past my usual go-to brekky selection - bacon and eggs: crispy, crunchy bacon and nicely seasoned, creamy scrambled eggs. The avo on pumpkin hommus was nice. There weren't too many breakfast variations, but you could get the Eggs on toast and then add ingredients which would add up to be quite expensive. Decent sized servings but also above average prices. Good but nothing amazing that I would go out of my way to come back for brekky. Would like to try their lunch/dinner menu.
Dishes are big servings. You don't leave hungry. Cost is reasonable considering how much you pay. Service is quick and staff are nice. Plenty of indoor and outside seating.
Came in for brekkie on a busy Saturday morning. Really friendly service in a trendy yet relaxed environment. Delicious food without hardly any wait. Great to see the "same but different" menu options with a twist. I had eggs Benedict with pulled pork and a chipotle hollandaise and my kids loved their French toast. Devine.
Had the cold pressed spritzer which was super refreshing on a hot summer day. The wait staff are also super friendly. Highly recommended!
Good service good food and the house made soda beats the bottled stuff hands down
My boyfriend and I went along to Same Same for Saturday night dinner at the end of August, to sample the winter menu. It was absolutely delicious, and great value. I had the entree and dessert combo, which I was worried might be small, but was a really generous amount of food. We also had the house-made sourdough rolls which were incredible. I would marry those rolls! Service was spot on and the atmosphere was pleasant. We'll definitely be back soon to try the new menu.
This is a great little cafe for a weekend breakfast or a cup of coffee. The breakfast menu has the usual favourites, but also a few more exotic and delicious concoctions. The menu also has some good and reasonably priced options for kids. The outdoor seating area is dog friendly, so it is a great place to stop in on a morning walk to grab a coffee and watch the traffic go past.
Food was good and presented beautifully. One of our party ordered Morning Glory and it was very pretty. She said it was delicious. Unfortunately the counter service backfired on us as half our group got stuck behind a huge group of women. It meant half our group got their food 30 minutes earlier than the others. Learn from our mistake and order all together. Staff were friendly however I was annoyed by the 3rd time I was asked if my half finished plate could be cleared. Overall I felt very rushed as others wanted the table. Probably won't go back but will go to Bare Bones again.
The menu says that they are happy to accommodate any requests, but were unwilling to swap two menu items as an allergy request - all extras are $5, however they were happy to swap the items if we paid $5 extra. Not sure if it was really that inconvenient or if the cafe was just wanting to squeeze as many dollars out of their customers as they could, but we won’t be returning.
Really tasty looking menu, wait staff were nice. Everyone orders at the counter, makes it easier for friends buying their own meals. We all had the Pablo Diablo and it was fantastic! Definitely a popular choice looking at the other reviews, but that doesn't mean the other food is average by any means. Tiny bit of a wait for food and fun shake to come out, but we were there in a busy Sunday morning rush and with the Cafe being new, I'm sure they'll get faster! There is a reason why you see so many people out the front all the time. Great Cafe, amazing coffee and food. We will be back!
