This is an excellent Salvos store with a big range off men's, women's and children's clothing and shoes. It also has children's toys, books, jewellry, books, DVDs, some bric-a-brac and household goods. The staff is super friendly and always helpful.
Always a fun time in this big store with the smaller one next door is also great.... Highly recommended
Nice op-shop. Reasonably priced, clean store, friendly staff. Keep an eye for weekly specials
Always find something at this Salvos...so well organised!
Good selection. Good condition. Didn’t expect much when I walked in but I have some great find for incredible price. Found high end jeans for less than 10$! Bargain!
It's quite a large store with a variety of items. The prices are very reasonable and the service from the volunteer staff is friendly. Whether you're down on your luck, a bargain hunter, or want to support a charity and the re-use economy to help our planet, it's worth checking out. The stock changes frequently, so head back another day if you couldn't find what you were looking for.
Be advised that this is basically two stores one with all the clothing and accessories and another one right next door with all the books and bric a brac. The cds and dvds are in the clothing one. It's pretty hit or miss with the customer service, specifically in the clothing store. Some staff come across as disgruntled others can be downright aggressive. I've been made very uncomfortable several times in the store by how other customers are spoken about or to, but have had visits without incident as well. Pricing can be a bit high on some items but you can usually still find a bargain. Check your pricing tag colour, the clothing section always seem to have a half off colour and a $2 colour. There is usually a rack set aside with most if not all the $2 items, so I'd suggest checking that out first. There is a huge selection in each of these stores and it's pretty rare that I 've come out without anything I was looking for. I've not made any donations at this store as yet.
Don’t try to drop off donations - the drive-in drop off area is now hermetically sealed behind the roller door. Some smart manager has - i was told - decided all donations must go in the inside bins but as the street parking is always severely limited you risk a massive fine for parking illegally in order to make the drop off. Better you just give that amount as a donation and give your goods donation to a more acconmodating cause of which there are a lot in the same St Kilda/Elsternwick area.
Hands down one the best op shops in Melbourne. I live in the south western suburbs, so I only stumbled across this op shop after I had an appointment in St Kilda. It has a brilliant selection of clothes at affordable prices. This is one of the few op shops left that doesn’t have extortionate prices for designer or unusual pieces. I think their prices are fair and they have a great selection of clothes. I brought my mum down from the country just to go to this op shop, because I’ve found so many great bargains in the past!! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
Unfortunately not a pleasant retail therapy opportunity. Over priced, garments and accessories faulty, dare not ask for a discount as your told with firm assertiveness "it's already 50% off " with security breathing down your neck. You walk out wishing you hadn't walked in. Spent $30.00 and not happy as lm a low income earner. Refund
