The fish was delicious! It tasted like real, fresh fish. The chips were also good! The seasoning on the salt and pepper squid was a little too strong, but still nice fresh squid. I would definitely get fish and chips here again!
We didn't go into the cafe but instead opted for the takeout window. The fish and chips while maybe not special were very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful. A likable place.
We've been going here for takeaway 5 years in a row, every camping trip. This year we travelled 1.5 hours because we loved it so much. Not sure what was wrong with the food this year but all of us had a bad stomachache after eating it and did many toilet runs.
We booked a table for 4 on a Friday evening. Wonderful views across the harbour and our meals were excellent. At this time of year they only open in the evenings on Friday and Saturday, open during the day everyday. I think it wise to book a table.
We went there while on holidays and booked a table to dine in, upon arrival we found out the owner booked our table for the wrong day. We were placed outside and dined in terrential rain. Definitely an "experience". Food was average for a fish and chip shop. Would better suit take away not dine in.
Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Try the calamari.
