I have purchased from Black Salt Co numerous times and have always been so impressed with their service and their product. They always answer every question i have in such an efficient manor, and are so accommodating with shipping and delivery. The quality of product is incredible, i never have had a quality issue, and am always impressed with their dedication to their customer service - it makes me come back to shop with Black Salt Co every time! Thanks ladies!
Not helpful in responding to questions. Asked for a simple shipping quote via their website as directed to do when attempting to make a purchase online, sent more than 4 emails from different email addresses, attempted to use chat on their website, all with no response. No phone contact listed. Stores listed on their website as stockists have closed down a long time ago.
They have rebranded two traditional Laotian items that are religiously and culturally significant with names such as "Malibu". They are profiting off of these items with extremely high prices that are not going back to the communities whose design they stole. When asked about their plans to contribute to the Laos community, they claimed that they worked very closely with their "South East Asian supplier" hint: they are Indonesia - very different to Laotian. When questioned further why they are buying their stock from a country with no connection to the Pa Khao, they ignore and delete those comments. There are many gorgeous rattan furniture stores that run their business ethically and do not culturally appropriate. I highly recommend that you give your money elsewhere and if you are interested in the Pa Khao, please go to your local Laotian/Thai shop and they will have one that has been lovingly made, they can explain and show the rich heritage and significance behind the Pa Khao, and they will sell it at a fair price.
Cultural Appropriation! They literally blocked me in social media because I told them not to sell the items and Cultural Appropriation. Other people who had reported and commented on their page got blocked, they deleted a lot of comments. Cultural Appropriation! If my comment hurt you so bad you decided to block and delete my comments. Don't sell the items you stole from my culture! You are a two faced entrepreneur. You shouldn't even be called "entrepreneur." You are a liar to your customers and a shame to all businesses. CULTURAL APPROPRIATION!
I have shopped from Black Salt Co quite a few times now and they have been beautiful, courteous and super accomodating every time! I got a lovely note in each parcel and it was a beautiful experience. I will definitely shop there again!!
I’ve bought from black salt on a number of different occasions and every time been extremely happy. The lovely mum and daughter duo are passionate about their service and products.
Sadly still no apology over those so called Malibu coffee tables which are traditional Loatian and tables. Please respect non white culture - we have so much more to offer , clearly.
All of their items are clearly stolen from various Southeast Asian countries. They steal and profit off of something that doesn’t belong to them. Cultural appropriation isn’t cute. Try having original ideas.
Fantastic customer service. They have absolutely bent over backwards to arrange delivery for my order.
Fantastic to deal with. Very helpful +++
