Salt Contemporary Art showcases the work of Contemporary Australian painters, printmakers, sculptors and Ceramicists. Housed in a stunning former drapery store, the gallery offers two expansive exhibition spaces, along with a funky upstairs wine lounge.

Story

In January, Salt Gallery is open daily from 10.30am to 4pm. The Lounge @ Salt is open daily from 4pm. From February, Salt Gallery is open Friday though to Monday from 10.30 to 4pm and the Salt Lounge is open Friday and Saturday from 4pm. Please contact gallery for details of our extended opening hours in holiday periods. Please note that we close for an extended period in Winter each year.

I have always enjoyed Salt Contemporary Art for both the artwork and the food and drinks. The staff are always professional and helpful, even when it is is busy. I think that this gallery/cafe is a great asset to Queenscliffe and I visit as often as I can, especially during the Queenscliffe Music Festival in late November, but also venture from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne to see selected exhibitions. Thanks for providing a sophisticated gallery space and fantastic drinks and snacks .. I will continue to visit this gallery/cafe for many years to come.

disgusting service!! VERY INPOLITE. i would think as a staff member it is your job to make people feel as though that returning to the place and staying to eat is a good idea, not for us!!! we were told to "have a nice life", after observing the area.
