My experience here is always fantastic. The staff have a great understanding of my hair and what it needs. My hair being quite thin requires a special kind of attention so I always leave feeling listened to with great hair. The vibe is calm and relaxing. I had the most amazing experience at Salon Yazbek. From having a sick toddler at home, it was great to just get away and relax. The music provides a beautiful zen environment, the ability to have your feet up with the salon chairs whilst getting your hair washed and to having the most fabulous hair cut and style by Nathan, all made it beyond my expectations.
Sadly I had an awful experience here last year - the hairdressers cut 5” off my hair after a consultation and very detailed conversation about wanting to keep the length. I was actually in tears in the chair and was asked if I wanted to “go outside to get some air”, when, in fact, I wanted to just leave and never ever return. I wrote an email to the manager the next day after booking with another salon for extensions and they asked me to come back in to see if they could fix it - not sure how that would be possible without glueing the hair back on. I’d never return to this salon and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. I found an amazing hairdresser down the road who have saved my hair and been amazing!
By far the best hairdresser i have ever been to. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with the owner and what a great experience I had. The care to my cut was great and the rest of the staff was amazing. This place had such a great vibe. ~This is a must read experience of the level of customer service that this business actually provides ~ This appointment began badly when we were called by the owner who had a very aggressive tone, demanding a DEPOSIT for the full head of highlights and cut appointment. This is not normal protocol for hair appointments anywhere and shows the agenda of this business owner straight away is money, not customer service. I told the hairdresser that I had to leave at 5 my appointment began at 1:30pm as it was a Friday evening and I had to get to a urgent medical appointment before the weekend. I was then told that this was not enough time for the full service to be given full head of highlights and a cut and blow dry, even though we were initially told and it it is on their website that this service takes a total of 3 hours! The hairdresser suggested that I rebook the haircut for another day so that I can make my medical appointment, hoping that this would give the hairdresser sufficient time for the Colour service. Oh was I wrong. Even with this information it took the hairdresser over 2 and half hours to put in the full head of foils. Once at the basin my hair was pulled at and a very aggressive shampoo and condition treatment was given that definitely felt like it damaged my brittle, freshly coloured hair. I left the appointment at 4:57pm, 3 and a half hours after I arrived at the appointment with dripping wet hair, no blow dry and no haircut in winter. When proceeding to pay for the appointment I was verbally attacked by the business owner for not staying for the whole appointment even though its only meant to take 3 hours!!. The cherry on top comes next. That night I proceeded to make another appointment for a haircut and blowdry as I didn’t receive this on the day of my actual appointment, for the following Tuesday. The next morning I received an email saying that my appointment was DENIED. I emailed the business owner to explain that I was booking a replacement haircut for the haircut I didn’t receive and I was told that I should make an appointment elsewhere. What business owner who wants to keep their reputation does this?Services: Hairstyling
Great experience at Salon Yazbek! I had a balayage and cut/blow dry with Jessie and I'm really happy with the result. The whole team were very welcoming and friendly, and the place has a nice vibe. Jessie was so lovely and very professional, and explained the process throughout which really put me at ease. The team seemed to communicate really well which meant you could feel reassured that even in a busy salon, the team know what's going on with your hair at any time. I always felt looked after. The salon itself is great, really comfortable how about those massage chairs at the sink!. I had previously been going to another very popular salon in Crows Nest, however after trying Salon Yazbek I am converted! For reference I have long, blonde hair naturally dark blonde/light brown. I went in to refresh my balayage and brighten it up, and asked for dimension, low maintenance, and natural sunkissed look, with a clean, pearly blonde not yellow and not grey, and that is what I got! Jessie even had to work with some banding caused by a permanent root blur that was done previously. I'm very happy with the result! Highly recommend.Services: Hairstyling
