I have been attending this Salon for nearly twenty years now . I am extremely happy with the knowledge and professionalism shown to me over the years I have also taken a few of my friends here as well that wanted to get dreads and they too couldn't be happier with the outcome. The staff really take their time to achieve the perfect dreads and get them right , from the start so they can grow and mature and last, in a great style yet still look completely natural even and perfect. I ve had dreads for over 23 years of my life . These guys are the best. The also do all manner of other styles braid corn rows extensions . 5 STARS. Brilliant service highly experienced and happy to give friendly advice on how to go about your chosen style, with whatever hair type you have. They have expert advice on different products that are available for all hair types, which is very important for starter baby dreads to get established. I wouldn't go anywhere else now and so glad I found this place years ago its been owned be the same people for the whole time and they definitely take pride in their work and standing as the best dreadlock shop in SydneyServices: Hair regrowth
Great results. Moved to Sydney from New York last July and was very fortunate to find this salon. Excellent service and just a joyful experience every time. Nazma is always able to bring my locs to life.
Expensive and not good dreads maintenance at all. 350 dólares out of the window. took more than 6 hours to finish my hair. I went o surf 2 times, less than one week after maintenance, result... 2 dreads he put back somewhere in the ocean now
They did my hair for my 50th birthday and everyone was blown away. It looked incredible. These women are so talented.
I am actually so disappointed... I went in hoping to get clip in extensions to match my hair my hair was a little past the shoulders and i had light blonde/brown ends from a previous colouring. I was greeted very nicely by a gentleman, I told him what I was after long, straight extensions to match my colour on the ends. He said it should be fine, and one of the girls would be able to look closer for me. A lovely lady brought over weave in, black straight extensions and explained that weave in is better than clip in and the hair is a lot better. I asked if the black will match the ends of my hair and she said very confidently "yes i can blend it all in for you". I have never gotten extensions before, but she seemed confident and said she had been doing hair for 6 years so I thought YOLO. She put 3 tracks in, fairly tight too but cause this was my first time I didn't really know how tight is too tight?. Anyway, the gentleman which greeted me at the start looked after at us and with a shocked look on his face, told the girl "that needs to be blended in then it will match perfectly"...I could see that the extensions didn't match my natural hair at all.. the blonde/brown colour was like a very visible and obvious line from the extensions.. it looked horrible. She grabbed some type of gel and straightened over my hair to my surprise the blonde/brown faded a little on one side but on my right side it was still very visible. THE LOOK ON HER FACE WAS "OH NO WHT HAVE I DONE" i was thinking... are you actually serious. I said in a very calm voice, "if its easier, you can cut the colour on my ends off, if it will help?" she said " okay, we will thin it out".. as you can see she absolutely butchered my natural hair, its all different lengths and not even.. every time she cut the blonde colour off and let the hair fall she said "oh" like she knew she messed up she cut my hair in all different angels, it was like she didn't even know how to cut hair. When she was thinning my hair, she wasn't holding the scissors correctly cause it hurt at the start, then she realised and flipped the scissors around the other way.. I am definitely worried for when the tracks get taken out of how my natural hair will look : She definitely took advantage of me knowing it was my first time, I was charged $360, from the pictures i know it was not worth $360... I had to rush to chemist warehouse and purchase temp hair colour spray to try and blend the blonde/brown so my natural hair didn't look so bad : WONT be returning, and would not recommend this place. Was really disappointed because everyone inside the store was very friendly and some customers that came in were returning customers... Now i have to deal with this hair for a month.. :
I went to this salon for the first time , As I had been to another Salon and had a bad Experience..!!! 5 stars all the way! Chika and Hannah were so amazing with our daughter yesterday. They made her feel like a queen and really looked after us. They helped us understand how to best care for her hair and took the time to be gentle and understanding to her situation. We will be back and she is such a happy little girl! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your hands are a blessing x

I had my hair braided once and it was good, I've gone back every 2 weeks for French braids. The staff are so friendly and bubbly. I've had nothing but the best experiences there. They braid hair so well! My chosen style normally at other places lasts 1 week or so. At Salon De African Pride, my French braids can last up to 3 weeks. Their work is super neat, meticulous and looks great. People stop me and comment on it. Highly recommend!
