If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Overcooked, bland, watery, boiled chicken Teriyaki. Weird yellow, greasy, dry gyoza. Overcooked bland Katsu. I am so upset I went off the uberEats review and not the actual review. Ugh, I could have saved so much money.
Quaint little Japanese shop. Food is very affordable and tasty, the staff are lovely. Usually pretty quiet strore. Food is made fresh, and pretty quickly too. I've been here a couple of times and enjoyed what was on offer.
Absolutely disgusting, have had plenty of great Japanese dishes in the past but the experience i’ve had with the food at this place is shocking. Not fresh at all meat smells bad, felt for sick for hours after consuming their rice/ meat dishes. Do not recommend at all !!!!
I ordered a small sushi platters which costs me $71, it has no things like shrimp or sashimi lay on the top, just normally cheap sushi rolls. And finger nail amount of wasabi with that much sushi. Omg. Will not come back again, every disappointed
Had to wait over 2hrs for my food to be delivered tonight. Hungry Panda delivery service obviously takes the blame for that, but the food was cold when it arrived. After ringing the store to complain it turns out the food was cooked 15mins after ordering. It then sat around for 1.5hrs waiting for a driver. Terrible experience
While the works are pleasant enough, that's where it stops here. I've tried several dishes including oyakodon, gyudon and katsudon and they all missed the mark. Overcooked meat and eggs, cold vegetables, no onion or broth. Really disappointingFood: 1/5
Below-average japanese food, lacking in flavours. I had been looking forward to visit Sakana after hearing so many positive reviews. I found the experience quite disappointing. The staff are ready to provide assistance which is warming, and makes up for the run-down, unkept interior. The sushi rice is average quality in flavour and served relatively cold, which means it may have been prepared hours earlier. I found the Chicken Teriyaki dish to be lacking in flavour and seasoning. The chicken was laid on top and came out cold and dry, while the teriyaki sauce was sitting at the bottom of the bowl buried under the rice. Unfortunately the dish tasted like overcooked chicken that had not been reheated properly, and did not taste exactly fresh.
Friendly staff. Food wasn’t particularly fast but taste okay. The waitress gave my food to the wrong table, they almost dug into it before the waitress realized her mistake and just passed it onto me. Felt a little unhygienic but I was hungry so didn’t complain. Overall was okay.
Nice cosy little shop. Genuine people with genuine Japanese food. Best part it's always cooked to order and tastes fresh.
This used to be my go to place for a really enjoyable meal at reasonable prices. Unfortunately things change! Significantly higher prices and less than welcoming service detract from the good food. Not even having a heater made my last visit quite unpleasant.
