比起粗眉仔之前去過的眾多文明古國，荷伯特的歷史不算悠久，二百年歷史左右的聖瑪利天主教堂（Saint Mary’s Cathedral Catholic），已算是這裏最有歷史價值的東西了。 教堂旁邊有一所學校，同樣亦古意十足。 教堂古樸的石頭外牆，配上晨光和秋樹，非常懷舊迷人。
