Having spent weeks eating food in USA who don’t make good Asian food, we headed to our local, Saigon Sun only a few hundred metres from our front door. Can’t believe we haven’t been here before. We were greeted by Lee who knew my partner Jim from many years before. So sweet. We ordered curry puffs tonsure - very nice. My partner ordered lemon duck for main course and I ordered roti with beef. All meals came with a timely pace between each course. The puffs were good, although they tasted like they’d been heated up. The chanai was delicious and the roti bread well cooked. The duck was amazing and very authentic. Notes: service was exceptional. Disability friendly. Dietaries catered for. Kids catered for. Good parking by noir the front. Leftovers available to take home. Highly recommend.
Shocking experience- not a normal sweet and sour pork, thin char siu pork slices as opposed to large pork pieces. The pork itself had a strong off smell and completely inedible. I was told by the lady it was my taste buds and no care for customer feedback or satisfaction, paying full price for a dish that wasn’t even touched. Won’t be returning
Very good food we all enjoy our meal there l will go back there.
My Masonic friends funeral today introduced me to the Saigon Sun in Altona, one of his favourites. We had Peters favourite Sizzling Duck and it lived up to the hype. We will definitely be back.
Been coming here for over 10 years, tasty and fresh dishes. Service always very friendly and helpful. Such a lovely family that runs this restaurant, absolute gorgeous people.
One of the worst meals I’ve had in my life. The ingredients weren’t close to being fresh, the sauces in our mains had very unappetizing flavors. We paid for a meal that we barely touched. There are so many other great Vietnamese places that people who leave 5* reviews here should probably try so they know what a good Vietnamese food should taste like.
Excellent food and service at reasonable prices. A clean cosy little family run restaurant. Its licensed and they do take away. Plenty of menu choices. Dishes can be altered to suit individual needs re food allergies andctasts preferences.

Tried out for the first time and I'm very impressed, would definitely recommend and come there again many times with family and friends. Don't get why some people are giving hate because this restaurant is amazing. : Amazing service and food! PERFECT!!!!
