Our server was lovely. She was very quick and professional, explaining some of the dishes that we didn't understand. I really like that the menu is under clear plastic table clothes and not able to be handled by patrons. Very COVID-19 safe. There were plenty of kebab and rice type dishes. The lamb curry was great and so was the crispy chicken. The eggplant dip was amazing but the bread that comes with it isn't great. It's seemed a bit stale. I would definitely get this again. The saffron rice is also really good. Prices are pretty standard for the area.
Food - 4/5 Customer Service - 3/5 We took mixed platter with safron rice $25 - 4/5. Comes in bigger platter, they give additional bread as well. Loved the soft and flavourful koobideh we took 2 koobideh and 1 chicken, chicken was okay could’ve been better, found it a bit dry. Overall food quality was good. Improvements: Chicken was a bit dry. The meal did not come with any dip like most restaurants, we wanted to order an extra dip but it was $6 which is very expensive for a side dip. They serve tap water like others but you have to ask. More proactive approach would’ve been appreciated. On the other hand, their takeways are extremely affordable half of eat in price, defo recommended. I liked the different wall decors on 4 sides, they have menu on the table which was easy and interesting too.
Good food with reasonable price and normal service. Went there on a quiet weeknight. Staff were nice and friendly. Tables are clean and tidy. Decor is kind of basic with room for improvement. Not a bad place to grab a bite but it needs a bit more traditional design to give it a bit of a character.
Foods are great, nice restaurant decor both indoor and outdoor, good service. We booked the backyard for special event and all the invited guests were impressed! Love this restaurant.
Hella tasty food cooked with authenticity. Lamb head and hooves, huge platter of chicken n rice. The rice was so colorful and delicious. Parked right outside.
Food was good, price ok. There is a nice cozy backyard that I just discovered after we finished our food! Service was average but you don't expect more in Persian restaurants!
What a special little place. Very humble. Food was fantastic! I was served by a lovely lady. Kid friendly too! I will definitely go back and have recommended the place to family and friends. Can't wait to try everything on the menu!
Partner and I wandered down here for dinner as we live nearby. We chose this restaurant as it wasn't as crowded as the others, and there was no waiting lines. Really happy we dined here as the food is reasonably priced and you get such large servings we struggled to finish it all! The food was comfort food, and very filling. The waiter we had was extremely polite and friendly, he even helped make suggestions and explained how to eat the butter with the rice haha this was our first time eating Persian cuisine!. There isn't a lot of variety in terms of what you can order, and the furnishings and decoration of the interior is a bit plain and unattractive. Instead of proper serviettes/napkins they fold tissue paper up to go with your utensils so in this respect they fall a bit short. There are so many other Persian and Middle Eastern restaurants down the street that I feel Saffron Restaurant can easily be overlooked. I think they have a lot of potential though, and the food was delicious.
Best "kale pache" ever! Good thing about this restaurant is the self service tea makes you feel at home. Tea is essential after having heavy persian meal, specially after Kale pache.
I was here to day. They told me the food is $3 per skewer. Then they charged me $13 insteas of $9 claiming bread and veggies was not included in their price! They overcharged me %44. A "Koobideh" is just $11 in their menu. Do they charge it $15 as well? I did not order veggies. It is normal to have it free in a real Persian restaurant.
