nHad a great nights stay at Rydges.nVery comfy beds. Spa was perfect for romantic nightnTook advantage of the complimentary breakfast at Moss on Woods, very good meal there too.nnHighly Recommend a stay at Rydges when you are in Mackay. Very convenient to everything near the city.
Reception and customer service extremely poor. Contacted reception requesting an extra pillow as 4 pilllows are advertised in their photos in king studio suites. We only had 2 for a king bed and a 1 spare in the cupboard. The pillows on the bed were quite thin so you really needed the second one. I showed the receptionist the photo of what was advertised and in a full hotel they could not offer 1 extra pillow to a paying guest. They couldnt even be bothered with getting a spare from an empty room that was not booked at 9pm at night.They said in case the room got booked they would be missing a pillow. The receptionist was unthoughtful and showed that he couldn’t care about guests and their experience with staying at their hotel. The hotel and rooms itself is pretty run down and are not the cleanest which we were happy to overlook for 1 night. People remember how they are treated, customer service goes a long way, would not waste money in staying again
Aircon wasn't cool enough,even the cleaners looked hot. I've cleaned motels/hotels and its vital to have good cool air-conditioned rooms and passageways for workers especially the cleaners and the clients as well.
The 1bedroom was roomy enough with all facilities. Reception on arrival was neutral. balcony no out side seating, no view. Only staying overnight. Room service dinner and breakfast. Dinner adequate just, breakfast cold and disgusting don't bother. Rubber eggs so much ice in Orange juice should be none, almond coffee extra hot warm and tasted like a cheap brand of almond milk. Left it with a not so nice review. Do better or get a job you are capable of. Waste of time and money. I tied to cal restaurant no answer of course. Complained at reception she was attentive, got a 20percent discount should have not paid for anything. Not reception fault. We have now this Forum to say. Too old now. Keep away from Moss food.
Wonderful stay in a clean room conveniently located in the city. Short walk to everything you need. We loved that our room on level 2 had a huge balcony.
