Gave it a 4 star rating as it seems that there is only one elevator working that services the entire hotel. On one of the busiest days of the weekend, it apparently has been out for some time. The room was well equipped and appointed with many mod cons expected from this calibre of hotel. Located right next door to the 4x4 show site was quite handy and also a blessing during one of the hottest weekends of the year. Overall, it was a great hotel to stay in but really should be on top of that elevator situation.
Amazing location but that’s where it ends. We stayed here due to a festival being held at RNA showgrounds. One elevator was broken so at the end of the night you’ve got 100+ people all trying to use one lift to get to their rooms. Seems this elevator has been broken for quite a while according to other patrons. The hotel absolutely knew they were booked solid, but couldn’t rectify this problem for over a mont it seems?! Room was nice enough, and quiet but wasn’t clean. The lounge had stains all over it, and you could see under the bed hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. The bed was comfy, but had the wrong sized sheets on it. During the night the bottom sheet completely came loose, and I found myself sleeping on the mattress protector. Lights in the room were broken too. We paid a premium for the proximity to the Showgrounds not for the quality of the hotel. Wouldn’t bother staying again.
Great Hotel at an amazing location. Room was spacious with a nice view, feels new & modern. Bed was extremely soft & comfortable. Food was delicious and the staff was courteous and friendly. Would have rated it 6, if there was an option. Lots of nice places to hangout in walking distance. Definitely recommend it.
Stayed a few nights here whilst holidaying in Brisbane during Christmas period and found this hotel to be clean, very quiet despite people around and most importantly very comfortable bed it is subjective but even my wife noticed this in particular who always struggles getting good sleep when we are away. The pool was enjoyed virtually everyday by our little one and it's a plus. The only thing that was a bit of a let down was the room service. The bed got tidied up each day but the beddings were not changed and the floor and bathroom were left unattended, perhaps short-staffed during the Christmas time coupled with staff shortage in general considering the current circumstances. Overall it was a good experience. Rooms: Good sized room with very comfy bed Nearby activities: Abundance of restaurants around
I stayed here with my partner when visiting from the UK. We were tired but Corrie sorry if that's misspelt was super bubbly and friendly and it instantly put us in a good mood. She was super nice and made our stay so welcoming and homely, going above and beyond, always there to answer our million questions and also gave us some great recommendations for the area. The rooms were lovely and bed super comfy, and overall it was a great stay - will be back!
Friendly, warm and inviting. Loved my stay at Rydges, close to the convention centre and king st, which had lots of nice places to eat. The room was clean, bathroom spacious and the bed and pillows were soft as a cloud. Would definitely stay again Rooms: Clean, comfortable Food & drinks: Plenty of options to dine, in house or restaurants close by
Another great stay with our family. Scott the GM and his team always make us feel very welcome with it being our go-to hotel for family Brissy visits. The Hotel is looking great at the moment too with plenty of excellent restaurants around also. Cheers! Scott
Been here for a night only when our flight got delayed and NZ Airlines booked us here and I can see that the staff goes above and beyond. We've been booked for 2 separate rooms by the airlines but I asked the reception if it's possible to transfer us into a family room and they did. They even booked us a taxi for the following day to airport. Experience with them is smooth and the room is big enough for us. Rooms: Clean and spacious.
Amazing rooms, beautiful pool and there was many nearby locations to go out and eat dinner. When I arrived At my room there were a buncha crumbs underneath the bed but that didnt really bother me much. Breakfast was amazing they had many different fruits and they had toast, pancakes, eggs, juices and heaps more. Highly reccomend! I have been here many times before and the people who work there remember my family lol. 5 rating~cant wait till I go again!!!!!!
Nice hotel, good location--- but check the bed before you settle in and unpack. Its 10pm just finished work on the computer, ready to sleep and find : x3 pieces of hair, broken skin and food crumps. Really, cv19 is finished and no one cares about hygiene. So unacceptable . Got moved to another room - ceiling fan is soooo noisy and cant be turned off. So not impressed! Rydges wake up!
