Great hotel right on the centre of the old town. The rooms are well equipped, comfortable and of their time.nThe restaurant produces really good food, but can get busy…nice to be popular.nThere is on-site parking for hotel guests.nLovely base from which to explore the Art Deco high street.
We stayed one night, so can't talk much about location, other than it is in the old downtown shopping district. Only 8 rooms, no elevator; the desk clerk is also the bartender. Dinner and breakfast in the cozy bar on the ground level were both great. Nice spacious high-ceilinged room. Only negative items were a lack of USB ports, and a very tight and well hidden parking area.
A Lovely Hotel with a friendly vibe. Fantastic Location, in walking distance to everything. In-house Restaurant and Bar serve Great Food and have an extensive craft beer selection. Service was really good and staff friendly and super helpful.nRoom was nicely presented but unfortunately let down by a squeaky bed and a piddly shower
Excellent friendly service. They have about 19 beers on tap including many local craft beers and a wide selection of spirits. The pasta was superb with the most flavourful sauce. Our friends had the nachos and they came with a lot of mince. The pub was nice and warm on a rainy day. Fast wi-fi. Definitely worth a stop if you're hungry and thirsty.
I had a meal last night here. And it was awesome, the bar staff and wait staff are excellent, fun and informative. I had the lamb rump which was cooked to perfection. Great work team and thanks. I would recommend dining in Whanganui here.
