We travelled to Newcastle for an overnight stay, and decided to dine at Rustica to celebrate my husbands birthday.nFrom the minute we walked in the door were so well looked after.nEvery little bite of food was amazing. Simple food done exceptionally well.nWill definitely be returning.
Watch the waves & enjoy the most amazing food served by fabulous attentive wait staff. Couldn’t fault this place.nnThanks to the ChefsnnJust bring a shawl it can be a little cool inside in Winter & Spring. Not sure about Summer yet!
I have been to Rustica a number of times and usually walked away happy and satisfied factoring the cost of visiting the restaurant. Unfortunately, my last experience did not meet my previous experiences . The service was pretty ordinary slow and more take away cafe like and the food for such a highly rated restaurant did not meet the high standards of what I had previously experienced at Rustica. The atmosphere was nice sitting by the window, however, the service and meals were a little disappointing in quality and flavour. Spending $400 for 4 people I did expect better or on par to my previous visits, it was a notable difference. Maybe it was just an off night for them.... maybe a slip in standards. I'll give them another go and the benefit of doubt.
The atmosphere is very beautiful, the service is very friendly and nice, but the food was wonderful, the arancini and truffled potato starters were very good, the main dishes were well seasoned and delicious, and to finish off, a dessert! It's worth it.
Absolutely beautiful food and atmosphere. Service was great. A special touch on my husband and I’s birthday. Thank you
