Ordered honey chicken from here tonight and it was bright pink. Contacted the restaurant to let them know and they did not seem phased in the slightest and asked me to send a picture, I said "'But my chicken is raw and I can't eat it so whats happening?" To which she responded "Jut send me a picture". I sent a picture and got no response after 10 minutes. I texted the number she provided and said "You close in 19 minutes so what is happening?" All I got were messages pretending they never got the picture, I sent it twice and never got a response. VERY unprofessional. DON'T eat here unless you want salmonella poisoning.
Absolutely love the food and love that if you ask for things to be changed they are without any hassles! Staff very friendly and food is always prepared fresh. Their Ruby's special fried rice is excellent, best in the area in my opinion and their honey chicken is the best I have ever had anywhere!
Abysmal food. The special fried rice was one of our favourite dishes under the old ownership who was extremely friendly too, but now is extremely greasy, uses tiny prawns, and leftover pork. Nothing like the old version. Chicken chow mein is 2/3 noodles whereas used to be filled with veggies and meat. Also got my order of 3 items wrong! I tried them once when first ownership change, was disappointed, decided to give them another chance. Never again!!!!!! Prices went up too under new ownership. Blergh...
Being a hot day on Sunday, my husband decided to try Ruby's $60 Pack B for dinner. As he's allergic to peanut satay beef, he asked if he could swap it for a curry beef same price on menu for both or Mongolian beef, $1 less on menu but woman was adamant she wouldn't do it & if he wants a swap he'll be charged $5 extra; which is abit greedy despite pack A has Mongolian beef. He bought pack anyway as I'm not allergic to peanut. Frankly the whole pack was disappointing. Nothing special about large fried rice, couldn't see much of anything, nor was it large. 6 tiny spring rolls & satay beef looks nothing like it should be, full of sauce & Chinese cabbage! Have to admit previous owners were much better, tastier food & good serves. Definitely won't be going back.
On Wednesday night 18th November 2015 we placed an order at Ruby Chinese Restaurant in Maddington. The Sweet and sour pork pieces were huge, to huge to place in your mouth, and they don't have knives for you to cut the pieces. The batter was so thickly coated on the pork pieces and cooked to the extent the batter looked burnt. The texture of the pork was hard and dry due to way over frying. The Satay beef we ordered to be cooked well done, was barely cooked, the pieces of cauliflower and broccoli in the Satay was so old it was mushy and chewy without an ounce of crunch, the vegetables were not fit to be used for cooking. The container with the sweet and sour sauce was LESS than half full, and it was a small container. The fried rice was very nice. The taste of the meal apart from the Rice was very dissapointing, we will not be going back there, it is nice to support your local restaurants, but unfortunately we will not support this one again. So it looks like its back to The Embassador in Cannington which is nothing less than 5 star, it is a little further away but well worth the extra travel.
Honey Chicken is the best compared with other restaurants, nice coating and yummy food. Delivered on time. The driver was friendly .Very much enjoyed the meal and definitely will order again.
Awlful Chinese foods ever in my life . Taste are more worse than food court. Stir fired dishes too oily and vegetables was extremely salty. Staff attitudes was also lazy and bad

The service and speed was excellent. The food was mediocre. I had to re cook it and add seasonings to make it palatable. The fried rice didn't even seem fried...
Placed order through menu log and when it got here it was wrong so I sent it back to the restaurant and asked for the right order to be delivered. They rang nearly 1hour afterwards and said that they couldn't do the order anymore and would refund the money not happy it's now 715pm and no dinner absolutely fuming.
