Disappointed with the work staff at the reception today, after a long journey to reach the place of the shelter, we inform you of our general personal situation, which is perfect in order to be determined to get out of there with a new dog and give a new opportunity for a furry or at least see them and get closer, they give us all the excuses that may exist to ask for an appointment with the covid, I understood it but I was surprised if they were alone there was no one to adopt or ask for information. No collaboration to make a new adoption a reality, everyone remains seated in a chair by chance we only saw a dog walking we are the only people to visit that place and they are sitting in reception. It would be so difficult to make an effort for an animal to get out of there. a new place? Since we explained that we had the time they needed and we only wanted to adopt and give a new life to a dog, we did not go with preferences or color, size or age. Disappointed with the resolution inviting us to go to another protector if we are not happy with them. I hope the animals are treated better than we were treated today
A few days ago we had a real scare when we thought our beloved Rankin's dragon had escaped and was running wild somewhere outside. The person we spoke to on the phone at the RSPCA Reptile Rescue was exceptionally kind, knowledgable, and helpful. We were given us lots of practical advice on how to encourage him back home if he was outside, and the calm way in which our questions were answered really helped to reassure us in a time when we were feeling very emotional and panicked, thinking we had lost our boy forever. Luckily, our little guy had been hiding indoors all along, and we found him after about 20 hours of frantic searching both inside and outside the house. We then rang up the RSPCA again to get some advice on getting him a suitable vet in the area who could take a look at him to make sure he hadn't hurt himself. Again, the person we spoke to on the phone was patient in answering our questions, and took time and care in listening to our concerns. The last few days have been very tense and emotional for us, but we feel so grateful to have had advice from people who clearly know and love reptiles; their expertise was invaluable and so reassuring, and we can't thank them enough for helping us get through a very stressful and scary experience.
The staff here were incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. They gave us lots of advice and information on the reptiles and really helped us make a decision on the type of pet would suit us. The staff obviously love working with the animals and are very passionate about what they do.
Wonderful team, so helpful. Just adopted a second dog from the centre and cannot praise the work they do highly enough.
Got my cats from here and they're super helpful and do lots of good work. They were neutered and vaccinated. Also used their cattery. Always good staff and a lovely place to visit just to say hi to the Cats and Dogs.
Anyone who looks after animals I respect. The staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to talk to you. We took in 3 lop-eared rabbits over a period of 8 years from here. Unfortunately it is so difficult with their requirements to take on animals from here now I fear the RSPCA will simply put down more animals than can be given homes due to the restrictions. I have 500sq foot back garden, fenced, shed, a run but not able to home any more rabbits : Steps straight from the car park - reptile area is ok but anything else, no access with a wheelchair. Free parking. Could get busy at weekends as car park is communal - football pitch / playing fields next door
My beautiful girls I rescued from the wonderful RSPCA one year ago, that saved there lives the biggest thank you to you all for allowing me to rescue them xx
I visited the reptile rescue centre here after booking an appointment to adopt a snake and the team was incredibly helpful and happily answered my multitude of questions! I bought everything I needed here the vivarium, heating and lighting, decorations, hides etc. and they were even kind enough to help me move the heavier stuff to the car. Thank you so much for making the adoption process as pleasant as possible!
At first the staff were super friendly and helpful as we had money issues and unplanned kittens that needed homes during the pandemic. Sadly, this attitude very quickly flipped and we were being judged, criticized and lies to by the end of everything. I had my female cats spayed and they came back home REALLY unwell with chest, sneezing, and guncky eye problems which lasted for 2 weeks. One of my poor girls kept vomiting every 5 minutes and needed treatment from the vets. This was an infection that was caught from the cattery which is extremely concerning. The person that returned one of my cats done separately as she went missing let my cat run outside my front door which they left wide open only hours after having her op! I was told she'll be fine but when I went to retrieve her she was confused and staggering near a car! Instantly curled up and slept when I got her back. I was told what I was doing for my cats was wrong with the wrong products despite my vets giving the thumbs up on what I do. I was accused my cats being in bad shape such as weight which wasn't mentioned prior their op. When I received the so called vet notes that stated this according to the person who was dealing with my girls, nothing of the sort was noted. Many times my father and I noticed changes in stories and lies. My vets are happy with my cats weights. I honestly don't understand why the RSPCA judge treating pet owners horribly if you don't "meet their approval". All paperwork was mixed up, my cats chipping information had canine ticked with wrong names! I had to correct the person who was signing everything.
I urgently needed their help and got cold responses and no follow-up assistance when they said they would offer it
