Solid 4/5 this one. Food is decent, likewise with the service and atmosphere. Dare I say the ‘go-to’ bar in Roma town. I splurged and got the rib fillet which was cooked well medium rare. Chips were nice, salad pretty good too. I’ve eaten here a few times in the past as well and it remains consistent so you can be sure to get a decent experience each time you attend. If you make a trip to Roma, definitely worth a visit to the Royal.
the food was really well done as it tasted extremely well, but with the drinks, they were not the best as there was no lemonade for the drinks and woolworths is right around the corner. the atmosphere on the other hand was a bit better except for the amount of flies that are buzzing around the food and just inside. lastly the service was alright except it did take quite a while for them to bring out the food, the drink service was pretty good as they did it at the counter straight away and it only took about 1-2 minutes.
We dined at 6:00 on a Saturday night. There were lots of tables available and the atmosphere was welcoming and modern. There was seating inside, upstairs and outside.nnThe menu was extensive and offered a wide range of options. There were also a wide range of beverages on offer, some of which were on tap.nnOur meals arrived very quickly and were generous and delicious. My steak was perfectly cooked and quite impressive. My beautiful wife’s salmon was excellent and our daughter’s chicken parmy was parmy at its best.nnThere were different sports playing g in a number of tvs spread across the venue.nnThe staff were friendly and efficient and the bill was great value.
Two visits here showed me a business without management and some of the staff asleep at the wheel. I came back 3 nights later figured everyone can have an off day.nFirst night I ordered food and a coffee. Took 3 repeat requests to get the coffee after the 1 hour waiting for food.nSecond night was smart enough to order the drink at the bar - no issues. They then made me wait 90 minutes for my food. A Pizza shouldn't take more than 30. Food was the only thing that was ok.
The steak and the chips are cooked to perfections, nicely done and taste really good. The ambience are very cosy. The staff are friendly, there's heaps of tables available when were there. I'm not fan eating rump steak but this one are delicious. Highly recommend this place.
