We tired this gem place with friends without super high expectations. But we are absolutely blown away by Chef David! ! Each dish is a work of art, bursting with incredible flavors and presentation. Thank you for consistently treating our taste buds to unforgettable experiences throughout the dining. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Chef David is one of the most amazing chefs, providing such great food, the slow lamb is perfectly cooked and full of flavor, corn rids are surprisingly tasty, mushroom ravioli is also beyond delicious! Their team really put efforts in their food. Great job!Food: 5/5
Such a good pub. We had an amazing dinner, it was absolutely delicious, highly recommend the food. Topped the night off with some live music and drinks, great night out. Do yourself a favour and visit this pub if you want a great night out.Food: 5/5
Best pub. Best wine list. Amazing staff. Never been anywhere quite like it. Cocktails on the rooftop are a ritual. Games boards are awesome. The food is absolutely excellent. Probably Launceston’s best casual dining spot. Where else does handmade pasta? So good.Food: 5/5
4 different mains on our table and 2 different deserts. ALL SUPERB! Service was friendly, no trimmings left out finger bowls for prawns etc. Very reasonably priced and good selection of wines at pub not restaurant prices. Portion sizes were perfect, not too big, not too small. Very well priced deserts. Menu choices for everyone & easily accessible. My new 'go to' for whenever I have visitors.
Shared a meal with friends upstairs tonight. I have to say the food was great and priced well. What made it for me though was the staff. What a lovely, friendly bunch they were. 10/10 for the serviceFood: 4/5
I bloody love this pub. The food is delicious, the staff, great value shout out to Vanessa, the atmosphere #1, with music, fireplace, couches. Great location and most excellent range of beverages
Went with a group of 12, fitted us in comfortably. Beautiful old building, the decor is lovely. All staff we dealt with were great, super friendly, helpful & accommodating. We all enjoyed our meals, great quality food, lots of choices, good portions. Suitable for a cosy romantic evening there are small rooms and alcoves, providing a bit more privacy, but great for families or larger groups. Would definitely recommend, and we will definitely be back.
Friendly & knowledgeable staff, great service & beautifully presented, scrumptious food. Much more than a pub meal. Prices were also very reasonable. Also love the music scene and the rooftop area.Food: 5/5
My wife and I dine out about 5-6 times per month in Launceston and have done so for years. We’ve sampled most local eateries at least once, yet this is my inaugural review. The new owner of this Launceston institution has revitalized it brilliantly; it’s now clean, well finished and welcoming. I’m particularly fond of the upstairs spaces and the thoughtfully curated list of local beers and wines. As for the food and service, it’s top-notch. We’re always satisfied when ordering the special.
