Went in to grab an early lunch and was pleasantly surprised at the gluten free menu which had a good selection on there which were also included in the deals. The down side is they are not as accommodating for vegans or other dietary restrictions/ requirements. There was no alternative milk options for a hot drink, hence the slushy and the one sad looking chicken Newyorker. It's a shame as it could easily have some vegan chesse. That aside I still enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere and staff were very pleasant and the food was actually pretty good and especially for the price which was a bargin. The chicken was tender, potato was fluffy and not dry and the salad was delicious. We did go early before the lunch rush The lunch offer will be a nice meal out still when money is a little tighter on the run up to Xmas. Went back at lunch to try the salmon and wasn't very impressed with the food, it was all quite dry and ended up being pretty expensive definitely for what it was when not getting an offer.
A great place to eat and drink. The staff are very friendly. The food is plentiful and the price is good.
Excellent pub and friendly staff even though they were fully booked and they still managed to squeeze us in for my birthday meal. The food was excellent and quick. The place was clean and tidy. The only thing I would say is all the menus on our two tables were covered in food stains. I would highly recommend this place and they have a good park for the kids to play in.

Ordered from my table for the family, great service, good prices and great food, there was even a kids DJ outside in the play area.
We enjoyed a very good meal last night. We like this place and know the food can be hit or miss depending on the chef at the time. Yesterday was a hit for sure. My mixed grill was perfectly cooked. All the meat was tender and not dried out at all by overcooking. My husband's steak was medium cooked just as he asked for. The beef dripping sauce was very tasty and complimented the steak.

Nothing Royal about the food service here, spent over £20.00 on halloumi fries dry and over cooked main came out late, not with other meals with friends, food was again very dry and dull, only excitement was the fresh water and ice. No guest impression on this first and last visit. However the GM keeps the pub nice and tidy so 5* for that.
Possibly one of the most Unaccommodating Pubs I've ever had the pleasure to visit. Food is served poorly compared to the rest of the Green-king chain. Turn up at 8.55 pm they'll keep you hanging around at the bar to pass the 9 pm food cut-off. So they don't have to serve you food. Some staff are lovely, polite and courteous. Although! Some staff are poorly mannered, unhelpful and the simplest things are too much trouble. And please. Don't even think about ordering a Desert unless you give them 12 hours' notice. Unfortunately, it won't allow me to give zero stars so I've frustratingly given one Star. Anyway good luck.
