A lovely afternoon. The staff at BYC went out of their way with their service to us all afternoon. They were polite, professional helpful, and very respectful to my elderly mother needs. The outlook absolutely spectacular.
Thanks Brighton Yacht Club.nThe Oysters were fresh & superbly treated - the barramundi delicious. Bottle of Bubbly. Lovely staff and location for a summers night.
I can't believe that I forgot that this place literally makes the worst Chai in Melbourne and ordered it for a second time. They don't brew it or steep it - the just mix a bit of soy and hot water and drop some leaves in a little strainer in the top. The result is a watery liquid with no taste whatsoever. Given they charge $7 for this and I had to add sugar to make the liquid palatable, I would recommend you never buy this from them.
It is a great venue with a good, friendly atmosphere. Pretty good setting too right on the beach with great views from the balcony. Seating choices cater for all weather conditions. The menu has plenty to choose from and the food is good.nThe staff are always fabulous and Susie was just wonderful for our Christmas Eve lunch. Nothing was a problem for her or any of the other staff.
So 5 of us for brunch at 10.45. After 15 minutes got attention of waitperson to say we'd like to order. Was told there was no table service and we'd have to order at counter. So we were meant to be mindreaders? No-one greeted us, there was no signage anywhere saying we'd have to order at counter, nothing. Anyway had coffees flat white, soy latte and latte and I had avocado on toast, husband and friend had corn fritters while other 2 both had eggs. Food average, wouldn't go back. Like cafe next door these venues are relying on the views of the beach to do the heavy lifting without offering great good, let alone great service. Oh and we were told at 12.15 we had to go as table booked at 12.30 but as photos attached show there were many empty tables and when I booked online there was no time limit specified.
