I am very pleased with my experience with Rowdys Car Carriers. I was thrilled with the results as it is tough to find a towing company that is open on a Saturday in Queensland. Shipping a vehicle can be stressful, and even more so when you are shipping to a car buyer in a different location. I was assisted by Norm driver at the unattended drop off location, and Andrew and Amanda by phone, and I cannot recommend Rowdy's highly enough based on my experience. Calm, confident, knowledgeable and common sense assistance provided. Have not come in contact with Rowdy's before but their customer service was above expectations. Based on my contact with them, I would say Rowdy's is an experienced and reliable transport company.
Just want to say a big thank you to these guys. My car was picked up from Brisbane around lunch time yesterday and I got a call this morning saying it has arrived in Hervey Bay! Booked a job in advance and they didn't show up on the day specified. I called them and they said they were "really busy" like it was no big deal but I had services hooked up on the other end of the delivery. Otherwise it was fine, they picked up and delivered with no damage.
Great on the transport side as I got my car safely. However the booking in process was poor. I paid on a Monday, asking for the car to be picked up later that week. It didn't get picked up until late the week after. During this time I felt we were "fobbed-off" and not told when the car was being picked up. I bought a car and had it transported from gladstone to the sunshine coast with Rowdys car carriers. On arrival the driver asked me to sign a form saying that i had received the car did not ask for me to inspect the car or if was happy with the condition. The driver left and I looked the car over and noticed a few stone chips and a crack in the windscreen. The car had a roadworthy a few days prior and there was no damage, nor was there windscreen damage noted on rowdys own condition report. As per the consignment letter i needed to contact the company within 24 hrs to make a claim and I contacted them within 1 hour as per their report stone chips are not covered but a crack should be I spoke to a man who was very patronising and kept referring to me as "darl". He said he needed to speak to the driver and look over the paperwork and would be in touch. That was nearly a month ago, we have sent emails and called several times. When we can get through they have said that someone will be in touch "soon" or they have been incredibly rude and hung up on us. We called again today and they refused to let us go through a formal claim process and hung up on us once again. We called back one more time and finally was able to get them to state their insurance company. The whole process has been extremely stressful and unprofessional and completely lacking in accountability.
Cannot praise Rowdy's enough for their amazing service and on time delivery. As a transport company, we wouldn't put our trust in a better team to assist us in delivery of our vehicles. Our customers are always commenting on how friendly they are as well as the amazing communication leading up to delivery. Thank you for everything you do!
