Brought a grab one deal for 4 people for my son's birthday dinner. Pleasant enough. Friendly people. Decent sized meals. Hosts are nice. Watching All Blacks and Lions test in Wellington.
1.5hr to get your mains. My steak was over cooked and they had cut down the middle to see if it was cooked. There was 4 tables in total two tables of 4 and two of 2 including us. They blamed it on one chef and that he was slow. Not good enough. The only positive is they free pour the wine. I would never return. Ever. The bar staff were nice. Grabone needs to start testing the business they are selling vouchers for
Terrible!! Went to take advantage of the $35 Groupon deal and ended up leaving. The wine was off, and then food took 55min to come out! To top it off it came out COLD with COLD onion flavoured gravy after we specifically requested no onion!! Staff were nice but very new and not all that helpful unfortunately. Bar also smelt of cigarettes all through the restaurant. Came home smelling like an ash try and I don't even smoke. Yuck.
Want to wait an hour and a half for your food? Want to have the worse customer service possible? Look no further than The Roundabout Bar & Brasserie. Never have I had such a terrible experience eating out. McDonalds has better customer service than this place. Booked for 8:30PM for myself and my partner using a Grabone voucher. We waited till 10PM for our food, and it's not like they were packed they were quiet most of the time. The wait wasn't worth it as the portion of chips and chicken from their Chicken Parmigiana wouldn't feed a 5-year-old. I wouldn't pay $12 for it let alone the $21.50 price tag is has, the chicken was dry and rubbery. Not once were we asked if we were ok, our existence was barely acknowledged other than a few glances, I had to ask twice for any confirmation of a meal heading our way. Now I know we used a Grabone voucher but that is no excuse to treat new potential future customers like a burden that would negatively affect any future visits. I’ll be calling Gordon Ramsay in the morning to shoot an episode of Kitchen Nightmares.
Had dinner here. Generous portions. I had purchased a deal online so it was worth what I had paid. Good service. Decor is a little dated but overall not bad. Would eat here again
Waited for 1hour Food did not arrive Was not a busy night, only 3 tables, and we arrived and ordered first. Food came out, but for the other 2 tables despite us ordering first. Staff came to follow up 15 minutes after serving food to the other tables. Did not return with a wait/expected time. Overall a bad experience, and staff were not friendly or had initiative.
Got a voucher from a friend to go and eat there. The chicken parm is the best i’ve Had. Brilliant wedges. Friendly staff. If I lived closer I’d eat here all the time. Staff also accommodated us as we were on a busy schedule and were timely and prompt. Thanks roundabout.
This is your typical bar , now will renovated interiors looks more pleasent ambiance. Had pokies machines. Parking spaces are but heaps of on street parking after hours. They have poker nights which is fun if you want to try your luck at it. Bar has variety of drinks a selection of on tap beers which are fairly priced . Food can improve. Staff is friendly and always served with a smile or two ..
Generous portions and good value for money. We went during quiet hours so can't comment on the wait. Overall pretty impressed
Cold steinys and a car park so you can lock the kids in the car while playing the pokies. Remember a bag of chips and a can of coke to keep them alive and always put the windows down a bit so you don't cook the little blighters. Have fun.
