Lovely traditional cafe - the current owners have been operating it for over 40 years .. it was already established in the 70’s … food is priced nicely and not over the top like so many cafes now. Yummy eggs made for us today with a couple of sidesnnThe coffee could have been a bit warmer - we asked for extra hot and it came out quickly but was only luke warm ;
Super delicious food at Romeo's. Highly recommend the pasta marinara olive oil base. We went here before a show at the Trak. The restaurant itself was very busy, but we appreciated their quick service. Highly recommend the food.
I went to Romeo’s last night with my girlfriends for dinner and let me tell you it was disappointing.nFirstly the menu is so poorly written, no elaboration on what is actually in the food.nWe then ordered our entrees and they were okay nothing to complain about.nThen comes the main and it was nothing but rubbish. The presentation so poor! A baked potato served in FOIL! Then chicken just dumped on a plate like it had been served in a shopping centre food court! And then the taste of everything nobody could even eat it.nWe then called the waitress over and complained and we came up with an agreement on the price. As we were all paying we were not aware that the owners wife was filming us WITHOUT consent, and to top it off as we left the restaurant we were named and shamed and being recorded for simply expressing our disappointment on the food quality to be told that we didn't pay which was a total lie and for the owner’s family to be recording us and sticking their rude fingers up is just not on. I do not recommend this restaurant at all!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Melbourne. There is always a pleasant and friendly welcome at Romeo's of Toorak, which feels like a second home to me. It doesn't matter when I go or who I am with, I can always enjoy the quality food and service. I am so lucky to have this place just a few minutes' drive or in walking distance away from home.
a classic, they’re always great at adapting vegan options on the fly which goes to show how fresh the food is, and portions are really good value
