We loved it here. It’s a retro tour de force. The menu’s out of the 80s, same with the food, but in the best way. The portions were sizeable and the ingredients fresh as. I loved my chicken scallopini. The chicken was tender and still moist, and the sauce so was a beauty. I loved the abundant veggies too and most of all I loved the baked potato in foil with sour cream. Absolutely classic and delicious. My companions loved their dishes too. My friend had the spaghetti marinara. I have never seen more seafood on one of those in my life. The service was terrific here tonight. Our main server was from Brazil and she did a wonderful job. This was a terrific experience. A really welcome trip back in time. We’ll be back for sure!
Classic Italian menu but no pizza on offer lol. Food is standard fare at average prices but alcohol is on the high side. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rest room is very clean.
I come here for the sweets especially the crepes they are a huge serving and very tasty. They also do a great chai latte. I haven't had savoury food here yet but want to try it soon as it always looks homely and big servings. Great Italian restaurant.
Been going there on and off since 1993. The food is consistently good. I love the cozy interior. I love how there’s always a buzz of happy patrons. Love that my amatriciana pasta tastes as good today as it did when I first had it. Nice to have a restaurant that maintains its quality, is still around and hasn’t had some ultra modern sterile renovation. So much has changed around the Village and many cosy old places are now replaced by less inviting looking places to eat. Thank you Romeos for staying original and still serving amazing food.
Have been coming here on and off for around 20 years. It's always a bustling but comfortable spot with extra room upstairs and out front that are opened up when needed. The staff are always friendly and helpful, never intrusive somehow. I have never had a disappointing dish from the menu. They have always been delicious standard Italian fare with just a little flair. First time players may want to stick with entree sizes when ordering pasta, but your mileage may vary. A decent selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails are available. Just returned after too long and, on an incredibly busy evening of chill winter weather, Romeo's was a warm and friendly haven of deliciousness.
Everything I have ordered from Romeos on the few times I have been there have been amazing, particularly the steak and the sticky date pudding. The owner however on each occasion has been extremely rude to both his own staff and customers, which for me is unacceptable in any service industry. But there's a trade off between supporting his business and receiving delicious food!
Have been here a few times over the years and the food is always amazing. Very generous servings at great prices. It can be a bit chaotic at times with tables constantly being re-organised to maximise seating. That's fair enough but it can cause narrow walkways and little space to get in and out. Tonight a leaving customer knocked one of our glasses of wine off the table. Not her fault, accidents happen. It was pretty poor of management though to not acknowledge what happened and offer to replace the wine.
Haven't been here in 15 years. Still has a hogh rating on my list of places open late on a Sunday night to get quality food and wine. Well done to the staff and owner.
Came back after being away for almost a year to our old family favourite Romeo's, Great Chilli Chicken and overall a good menu, very friendly wait staff, can't recommend this place highly enough. Still a family favourite after all these years.
My sister and i had lunch here this afternoon for the first time and it was excellent. The atmosphere in the restaurant was good, the customer service was fantastic and the food was excellent too. Generous size of meals too. It all arrived in a timely fashion and all with a smile. Mira was our waitress and the owner of this place should be very proud of her. 10 out 10 to her. Nothing was too much trouble for her and it was all done with a smile and a nice friendly chat. I had spaghetti Marina and my sister had risotto with garlic bread. Reasonably priced also.
