Absolutely fantastic! I can't say enough about how wonderful both the food and service were. We made reservations for lunch which I would recommend as it was crowded. Our server was incredibly friendly and helped us navigate the menu. The fried artichoke was great! For the main course, we both had the cacio e pepe. Words cannot describe how delicious it was! The best pasta I've ever had! It's probably a good thing we can't visit again, because we would be there every day!
Great place with good service. Food was pretty good. Cacio y Pepe was a little dry but maybe that’s just the way they made it. The shining star was the carbonara. Wow that one was amazing. The gnocchi was good too. Wine options are great. Overall recommend but make a reservation.
Worth the hype! our favorite meal in Rome. Service was great, large outdoor patio, and food was delicious. Server was kind, fun, and advised against a certain dish we inquired about. Turned out to be our most affordable and stuffed meal in Italy too! for a bottle of wine, 1 starter, two pastas, two entrees and 1 dessert, it was under 100 euros!
Cacio e Pepe is a must order here and we also ordered the lamb which was amazing as well! Service was really great and their seating is in a sort of quiet piazza so definitely away from the crowds which is nice.
The BEST restaurant in all of Rome! Incredible food, flavors and service! I cannot recommend it enough! I would go back to Rome just for this restaurant alone. Get the artichoke! Very quaint area.Recommended dishesFried Artichoke
Best meal in Rome. Their famous cacio e pepe is just fantastic and the gnocchi with ribs was an amazing surprise. The coffee and tiramisu were superb too. Staff super friendly too. We will be coming back soon because it became our favorite place in Rome
We had two dinners in Rome and we chose Roma Sparita for both nights! The Cacio Pepe was so good we kept thinking about it the day after. We had a wonderful waiter the first night who spaced out the courses very nicely. Word of caution to the Americans, don't expect your meal to be less than 3 hours. It really does take that long. When in Rome I guess we have to dine the Roman way. I would suggest maybe coming here during lunch or on a weekday. It seems that you need a reservation too. Weekend was too busy that it overwhelmed the young waiter so our dining experience was somewhat affected. Couldn't get our orders in, waited a long time for our food. Amazing Cacio Pepe as mentioned. I would skip the Roman tomato one Am...? It lacked a little later. definitely go for the Vongole, it was flavorful and salty, goes so well with wine. The fried artichoke is also a must. You can try the fried flower but it wasn't anything special when I had it. Cacio Pepe though, so simple yet so umani. Like Anthony Bourdain said, it's probably so good it's illegal somewhere. tiramisu was also good. Bottles of wine ranged from 10 euros up what?!. If you need a taxi they can call you one if you ask. This is our favorite place in Rome obviously.
Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. The service was impeccable. The food was divine. Started with fried artichoke and grilled mix vegetables. Both cooked to perfection. Next, the tripe- best I’ve ever had. So perfectly cooked and seasoned deliciously. Was definitely a treat. Onto the carbonara next. So creamy and moorish. The pasta was aldente, the guanciale was crispy and melted in your mouth. We had tiramisu for dessert, the perfect end to a delicious meal.
This place came very highly recommended however I tried to get a reservation via email as it shows on their website and they kept telling me that had availability and when I asked to book, for just myself mind you, they would respond that they couldn't accommodate me. It was extremely frustrating to be told yes and then no three times! In writing! So instead I decided I would go in person on my way to the Saint Cecilia church there and was able to get seated. I think my taste buds are not used to the amount of salt used because it was all so salty for, and I eat olives by themselves as a snack back home. Despite that I couldn't try enjoy the food. The woman who sat me was very kind but my server was unable to come by with my check for quite some time once I had told him I was ready, twice. If you do get there famous pasta dish, just get something like a salad to offset the salt, I think that in the end would have helped me.
Our server was very kind. However, despite ordering a simple meal our food was forgotten and we had to wait a long time. Tables that came after us were already done with their meal. In the end, it was caccio e pepe was quite salty and nothing special compared to many other restaurants in the city. This restaurant needs to do more to improve its system and to standout from the competition.
