Rogue Café

A long wait for a taste of deception... Was very hungry so asked how big their burgers were, after a vague answer, I said I'd like to know if they were big or not. But he reassured me the burgers were big. For $8 take away veg burger, I should have not believed him. The cafe/restaurant was near empty at 1pm, and after 10mins or so, I ended up receiving a sandwich. When I asked about the sandwich instead of a burger, he said that's their special way of preparing it. It tasted fine, and ok as far as sandwich sizes go. But not the copious burger that I was led to believe I'd purchased. Ideally he would have just told me it's a regular sandwich and not a big burger, and let me get something more satisfying elsewhere.

Can highly recommend the Rogue breakfast egg & bacon roll. Bundle this in with a coffee at a pretty reasonable price of 10 bucks. Little wait time - personally wouldn't venture to sit in, but I like to hit this joint for my weekend coffee takeaway fix.

Great stuff and the menu is varied. Coffee is good as well. However, sometimes the food was too salty particularly the fries and did not enjoy it as much as I wanted to.

Have stumbled into this place twice now on a whim. It's blown me away both times. Unique menu without being pretentious and service is exceptional. The perfect, understated Surry Hills brunch/lunch place.

Really Bad coffee. We ask for toast with spread, for 7 dolars we got 1 small slice. Avo on toast in the menu its aextremly cheap dish. Bad experiencie. Not recommended.

One of my favourite cafe's in Sydney! Great little cosy-gem in Surry Hills, I would put it down to the fact its part of Essenza Italian, the best Italian in the area!

Bit of a walk from Central station right along the busy stress of Surry Hills. Nice atmosphere, great food and decent prices. Serving time was a little bit on the long side.

Coffee was OK. Only OK. Our eggs on toast order got mixed up, and prompted an up front "half-sies" sharing of the meal which may not have happened otherwise.

Value 3. Service 2. Food 3. Coffee 3. Atmosphere 3. Better than average cafe. Wouldn't prioritise it over other local options, though.

Tasty. The courtyard is very pleasant.
