I was told by 2 mechanics that my husband's Amorok had major problems. One wanted to charge us $7000. One didn't even want to touch it as there was too much wrong with it, but then suggested Rocklea Diesel. From the first phone call David listened and said it could be a few things but would have a look for us. Ended up just needing a new exhaust temperature sensor. I'm so glad we found David. His communication was great as I was in suspense to see what was wrong as we still owe money on the car. Sue was so nice each time I rang her and she didn't make me feel like I was putting her out. Thanks guys. I will see you next service.

I was advised to take my car to a diesel mechanic after a service. Took it here and was given the car back and advised there was nothing alarming to be concerned about. Two days later the engine blew. I called them to inform what had happened and they didn’t even seem surprised. Inconveniently located and slack service and workmanship. Had car for 3 days before they even looked at it. I do not recommend this place unless you want to be without your car for weeks. They replaced clutch & flywheel with wrong bolts, causing flywheel to come loose. Instead of replacing damaged 6 hour old flywheel & clutch assembly - damaged because of their negligence - they ‘repaired’ it. We paid new prices for a 2nd hand assembly. ever since reinstalling the damaged assembly the car has had a rattle. Worst thing, I told them the clutch sweet spot was moving after 4 gear changes and was informed it was my driving. No courtesy car offered and they made no efforts.  Do not trust these people with your car. They keep car for ages and return it with new rattles.

To be honest, the bad reviews don't make sense to me. The staff are always lovely and go above and beyond to help and the mechanics are very knowledgeable. They are the first place where I feel like they want me to have a well functioning car, instead of just making as much money as possible. It's a little bit on the expensive side which is the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5, but you get what you pay for and these guys deliver very high quality repairs.

Went in with car blowing a lot of smoke. Found contamination in my fuel tank so had that cleaned + injectors + glow plugs. Car was serviced without confirmation costing me $130+ when I could've done that myself for a lot cheaper. $1800 later and told car is now running good. When in reality car runs exactly the same. Wondering what I paid so much money for.

After seing 2 other mechanics that couldn't help, they finally fix my Grand Cherokee which had a fuel pump issue. It didn't end cheap but that would have been worst anywhere else I'd say. At least problem is solved now and they have done exactly what was asked of them in a timely manner

A fantastic and honest place. They know Diesel engines very well and are very friendly staff, I imagine the bad reviews are fake reviews. I took my Toyota Prado in and they knew fixed all the mistakes my previous mechanic made.

the worst mechanic place i meet in my life, the staff and reception are rude and they never get back to me, the mechanics are useless and braindead, they ripped my interier and ripped me of and overcharged me on parts and done work that i didnt request to do or asked me if i want it done, i highly recommend to avoid this place, they dont care about there customers, just money. will never come back here again, screw the warranty, ill take my ute somewhere else. I have been bring my beep beep Barinia to Rocklea Diesel for 9 years and have had great service found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.  They look after my Barina and try to save me money where they can as they know my circumstances. Sometimes I have waited while service being done and I get cuppa and good chat while waiting.
