Average for a botanical gardens they do keep it nice but i like different zones of plant species they didnt have many here. Lovely war memorial Awesome that zoo is attached People need to stop feeding the turtles in the lake they swarmed when we went to the shore. I love seeing turtles but that concerned me Cafe was nice the established figs surrounding it were awesome Overall well tended

This is a real gem for Rockhampton. A great place to escape the heat - of which this place has the copyright on. Check out the Japanese gardens - it is so serene to come here either after a long drive north or south, or after work. There is a small kiosk that does sell some tasty food and cool drinks. Do check it out - even if you are just driving through Rocky.

An absolute gem! The Rockhampton Botanical Gardens were a surprisingly good find. The gardens are on par with many capital city Botanical gardens and when you include the Rockhampton Zoo, they are well worth a visit. Great playground for the kids and plenty of shade and cool areas on a hot day!

Beautiful garden with plenty of BBQ facilities near lagoon. Very scenic view to see plane landing and take offs. There are so many turtles near lagoon (must see). Visit administration office for chilled water.

One of the nicest places in Rocky. The Rockhampton City Council should be ashamed of themselves presenting a poor eating canteen area full of bird poo that reeks, unhygienic for humans. Full bins that stink. Totally unacceptable. Ibis are the worst thing to happen to the gardens. Our mayor Margret Stelow should be ashamed of herself presenting this to tourists and locals
