I visited on Anzac day for kids. Terrible manner, rude, unfriendly and so bossy. The staff misunderstand what her job is. She told my kids off front of us. She told them "Go away! Listen! Get out now!" Why did our kids have to go away for instruction of harness?? Why did they have to be told off. Why couldn't she just talk to them with manner? Probably she would excuse because it is important to know how to put on harness. Yes I know that. I can listen to the lecture with holding my 3 yo daughter's hand. I couldn't listen to her lecture with keeping eye on my kids in distance. Also my 3 yo was in more danger with walking around and trying to climbing alone. She does not need to order kids if there are their parents right front of her. It is not her job. Also if she has no idea about kids do not get involved in them at all. So rude. You know kids are human. Not a monkey. Your job is hospitality. You need to learn manner and smile. You have none. You better change job.
Rockface Balcatta is clearly a work in progress, I don’t have to tell you that just look at another review above or below mine. What I can say about the gym currently is that it’s setting down good foundations for what’s still to come. The bouldering wall seems more atoned to climbers with more endurance as they are some of the more lengthy problems I’ve seen. I personally haven’t used the top rope yet so I won’t comment in that regards. Overall the gym is pretty reasonable considering how far along it is with being developed.
Had our first visit here this morning and enjoyed our time so much climbing hard. Spacious and nice environments with friendly staffs. Would love to visit later on.
One of the worst climbing gyms we ever visited. We are experienced climbers travelling around Oz and we were looking forward to a nice climbing experience with our kids. However, the reality was quite different. The pictures online do not represent the reality. The current gym looks like a construction site. We were told they were expanding but if that’s the case, entry prices and pictures online should be adjusted accordingly. The existing climbing routes are badly bolted with no flow. It’s a very spacious gym and there is a potential for it to be turned to a nice and welcoming space but it has a long way to go.
My first rock climbing gym experience. I wasn’t disappointed. Really liked the staff and options for climbs.
This facility is a work in progress and I really hope they keep at it because they are doing good things. Highlights: First they have the best proshop I've seen in a climbing gym in Perth. It's a massive space with lots of area to sit and work while your kids climb. There are some interesting bouldering challenges. This was my first visit in a few years and it's come a long way. It's worth checking out.
Great experience for my 7 year old daughter and would do it more often is time wasn't an issue. Fantastic service.
Great staff, safe climbing, fun times. I've been here a handful of times and enjoyed it every time. The walls range from super easy to really challenging. Looking forward to going back again.
Never experienced somebody being so rude from the moment we walked in till we left. We were here for a kid’s bday party and everybody felt very uncomfortable. Looked like good facilities but due to the attitude of the staff, I would not be returning there.
Great variety of climbs, bouldering and gym equipment. But way too hot inside on a 30deg day.
