If you come to Townsville and you love seafood, you should definitely try this place. Their products are delicious and most importantly fresh. very good prices and large portions. You can be sure that you will be fed. They are not fake, they really serve the customer with a smile. 5 star place.
Not completely sure what the low reviews are for ! I ordered the regular fish and chips, with a salad on the side. I half expected tomato and lettuce as the salad but was given serves of 3 different salads which was a pleasant surprise ! The fish was crisp and tasted fresh and the chips were well seasoned. Sure its a tad above the median price for fish and chips - but I think its worth the occasional visit while you're at the strand.
The best fish and chip ship around ! Their food is always delicious. Don't understand how can someone put one or two stars .. if you don't like the price, go to gas station and get meat pie. It's worth the money.
The BEST dim sims I’ve ever eaten. 100% homemade as advertised and beautifully seasoned and not oily or greasy. I just grabbed a few with loose change in my pocket as I walked past but I will be back to try the rest of their menu. Lovely friendly people please come down and support this family business they deserve it.
Inedible. I am so sorry to have to leave such a poor review. Bought a fish wrap. After waiting a good half an hour, the fish on the wrap was dry and hard, far from being freshly cooked. The tomato was soggy and tasted funky. We have supported this business for years, but never again. So disappointing.
Do not even waste your timing coming to this place. We waited half an hour for food which in the end was inedible. The meat on the hamburger smelt rancid and looked even worse and the bread was simply ridiculously oversized maybe to compensate for the disgusting meat that was being used. Seasoning on the chips was tangy and chemical like and even a request to leave off carrots who puts carrot on a hamburger? could not be followed. I’m soooo annoyed right now that I just basically threw away $80 and I’m still hungry just disgraceful! Do not waste your money at this excuse for an eatery and anyone who thinks the food is even edible has obviously never eaten elsewhere.
Edit: Returned recently and will say that I was surprised that my experience in general was much better. I'm glad that I can return to change my 1 star review to a higher rating. General customer service was much better during my last visit and all staff members seemed to be very attentive towards their tasks. Was pretty disappointed with my experience this afternoon. Waited patiently for about 8-10 minutes to be served, wasn't acknowledged once during this time. At first I was fine with this as the staff member was prepping a sandwich, but then paused her prep to talk to another employee about stock again fine and left the sandwich to be attacked by flies. During all time not even giving a "We'll be with you in a second" and no regard to the flies on the sandwich. Usually I love this place, and as a hospitality worker myself I'm pretty casual with my expectations. I decided to leave and go elsewhere. I'd still recommend this place for the quality but wanted to leave feedback for the staff.
Delicious food. Best fish and chips I had the first time I went. Delicious chips. Second time had less seasoning but still great. Only gripe is the portion in the cone. Parking: Strip of parking on the road in front. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps and flat ground.
The food was amazing fish had not that much flavour but cooked perfectly the calamari by far is the best i have had around here. The seasoning on the chips is different but i love it. So happy we came here.
Long wait, which was ok as we were told about by a staff member. Chips were stone cold and we had to warm them up in the oven. Fish and prawns were good. Steak burger was completely soggy and the bottom bun fell apart and stuck to tray, so had to be eaten without. Very disappointed and won't be back.
