Beautiful old pub with all the charm. Very old and traditional but still warm, in and clean. The beer garden is huge. Small playground for the kids and the food was absolutely beautiful with massive portions. Staff were really friendly.
Top feed, cold beers and fellow freedom fighters for company. Super day at a well designed venue. Plenty of parking. Large outdoor area with 8 person tables. Quick bar service too. Tops
Been here twice and both times meals have been great, customer service as well. The last night we went they were overly busy with alot going on, maybe with nights like this and knowing in advance how busy they were going to be to add extra staff for the night so customers who dine in do not have to wait up to an hour to get the meals. Overall great place to go for meals or catch up for drinks with friends and listen to live bands as well...recommend to book a table just incase it gets busy :
We had an excellent experience. All of our meals were well above average and the service was quick and very welcoming. We all loved the ambience of the building too. We will all be coming back
Fantastic service, fantastic staff and the food was perfect. I am from the area and I took a friend from Tassy to the Robin Hood hotel and I will be taking ALL my visitors there. Just perfect and telling everyone how incredibly beautiful it is in every way possible. Thanks for keeping the old charm and employing the best staff ever, especially the chef. So yummy and those pork bellys rock,not to mention the Parma. Thanks for giving me a day I'll never forget. And many more to come
Stayed in room 2 on a Tuesday night. Just a delight- bed comfortable with a great doona and pillows pillows are important. Shower and bathroom excellent with all the right stuff. WiFi in room etc..... Meals were great as was the service. Only comment we would make is to suggest the people smoking and swearing out the front be hidden- maybe in a shipping container in the carpark!! Just not a great greeting but doesn't sully an overall excellent experience.
Great meals and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Steak is delicious. Best steak I've had in a while. Definitely go back there again.
We spent last weekend here having a few drinks listening to live music, and thought we we would come and have dinner this weekend on our search for a local watering hole. We looked at the specials board, as you do, to determine what we would eat for dinner. Immediately, we both decided on the $15 Chicken Kiev’s, paid and proceeded to get drinks in the bar. I started to do the math in my head and realised I had paid $20 extra somehow, so checked my receipt, we were charged $25 for our meals. I went back to the counter, where I queried the price, I said both boards inside restaurant and bar said $15, lady ubruptly told me “Not for Long!” As she scrubbed the prices off the board, and basically told me too bad. I said don’t you think that is false advertisement, as she shrugged her shoulders. If I had known the price was $25, we would have ordered something else and not the special. To top it off, it came out dry, overcooked and tasteless. Woolworths frozen kievs taste better. Very disappointed in how we were treated. Guess Neerim South will be our new watering hole instead.
Nice venue and most of the floor staff are pleasant. Food was average and all we heard while we were there is a staff member bagging the venue and getting angry with other staff. I don't need to hear that the Schnitzels come in a big bag..Service: 3/5
Went there for lunch ordered a chicken parmigiana with chips and salad absolutely delicious couldn't quite eat all what that was on my plate as it was a huge meal no room left on the plate as the chicken parma look up more more than half a plate definitely be going
