When I did my VCE course back in 1998, we had a orange building outer Elizabeth street upper Victoria Street avenue and we had next to nothing. Just one old orange building with a short staircase entrance and that was it. Just 5 floors and not even a place to buy lunch in there, sure you could take a walk to Vic Market or the city but that'll never make a 5 to 8 minute lunch break though...We had nothing to next to no facilities but we made the best of what we had and my memories remain strong here. And these days you have students complain about a lack of gender awareness in bathrooms where they have so much compared to what we never had lolz. I do miss the general academic book which is nowhere to be found anymore and is long gone... I would like to revisit my old orange study building which is most likely not used anymore that is located upper Victoria Street cnr of Elizabeth Street and get some pictures...Students should be thankful what they have now...
Great facilities and aesthetic building, very easily accessible as there's a tram stop outside and it's a minute walk from Melbourne central, however, it gets extremely busy at times and it's hard to leave without inhaling a lung full of cigarette smoke
Too busy at certain floors. Generally good outer look but interior wise can be improved. Outside is an immediate smoking zone.
Quite a few cafes here two on the ground floor and on level 7 a teeny one hidden away with a great balcony view of inner Carlton
Having conferences in the venue, it Is great that the university willing to support the community and provide the location.
1 start for RMIT. 5 stars for Pr Martin Wood, Dr Sarah Sinclair and Alan Montague.
