Could not reccomended this place more! Beautiful on a sunny day and just as pretty on a rainy day too! Do the walk and look at all the exotic trees with their labels (how they got Himalayan fir trees to grow in Victoria I’ll never know), or just explore along the many paths and embrace our beautiful forests. 
Super dog friendly, dogs are supposed to be on lead, but you’ll probably find a few people throwing the ball for their dogs in the big open area or letting them loose beside them as they walk the trails. Everyone’s very respectful though, and there’s an unspoken rule to put your dog on lead when approaching someone else with a dog. 
It can be busy, but even when the car parks absolutely full there are so many tracks I was there for 2 hours and only bumped into about 3 groups of people, all super friendly and happy to have a chat!

Nice place to have a walk. Choice of wide tracks and narrow trails. Can also take your dog here, which is a real bonus.
