This is one of Townsvilles best pubs. It's situated on the river, with outstanding views and a cool, social vibe. It has you're classic pub atmosphere, with a more complimentary patronage, and shares the best parts of the 4 seasons. I've been going there since it was built and it never lost its touch. Staff are great, the place is clean, the food is classic pub food, and there is plenty of space.
Went there for dinner last night it was great! The meal was amazing.nThere were no change tables in the bathrooms to change my 4 month old but the manger was so undersanding and helpful and let me change him in her office!nVery happy!
We went out in a party of four. Two of us got our meals, two didn't. Sadly it was a Wednesday night and not at all busy, plenty of staff but nobody even came to check in if we all had our meals. Why would you not check in if everyone has their meals or are happy. Also pizza was recommended but I would say 2 stars.
Went there tonight for the first time since it got renovated and was not happy with the food at all. The chips had a weird chemically kind of taste to them like they were undercooked or when you get a green chip. The bean curd stir fry was not a stir fly at all but rather a soup with no noodles and was extremely salty. I tried to complain but the venue manager but she simply said that she had been serving the meals all night and that there was nothing wrong with them. Didn't even want to give me a fresh bowl of chips in case it was a bad batch which I get happens. What poor customer service from the venue manager and the kitchen from a place that used to do so well. Such a disappointment.
I like the river view and very relaxing.nThe food is great and the prices are reasonable. I had the lamb cutlet for $40 and that was so good. For a branded lamb with that quality I’m happy to pay that with a very delicious mash potatoes and my partner had a steak for $28, he was very happy too.nnI can only recommend this restaurant.
