Yesterday 20/10/24 I saw wonderful TISM plus 4 excellent support acts.nThis Excellent Outdoor Venue has a music festival vibe. Comfy sloped grass area with cement dance floor down the front of stage. Great Sound and Visibility. Plenty of toilets , good food/ drink stands. A Great Gig.n
Not too bad. My feet were cutting into the front of my shoes from standing on the hill for 3 hours.nThe bar that's chucked half way into the audience and blocks the view on the stage is pretty stupid.nSaw Empire of the sun, they were pretty good, just wish they played more of their older songs.nLots of bass here but the treble sound and vocals don't cut through enough.
I've been coming here for almost 20 years now and the duty of care over the last five years has been extremely lacking. They now refuse to open the back toilets, no matter how many people are here TISM was the most packed I've seen it, and I've had to lodge so many complaints the last several gigs to the the toilets open and they are apparently done with that and have now pivoted to the excuse that it's a maintenance problem. It is basic duty of care to have an equal amount of bathrooms to patrons. I am so beyond done with it. Also, the dogwood dogs weren't as good as they used to be and they've added a bar that takes up half the view. I swear it is run by monkeys compared to how it used to be. Also, all drinks are now 3.5% for anything but Gin and the range is terrible.
Such a great venue! It’s good to get there early with a picnic rug if you want to sit, though we got there just before the main act and were able to get down to the stage go all the way to the far right before going down toward the stage for the easiest way
We went and saw Empire of the Sun here a few days ago and it was fantastic! The food and bar is decent, and overpriced obviously, but it's well-managed. The venue is a huge grassy hill overlooking the stage, so whether you're hanging in the nosebleeds or moshing in the front, everyone can see the stage. There's no seating but everyone just sits on the grass or stands when things get exciting. Depending on the concert, it's pretty kid-friendly. The sound was very good as well! We were somewhere in the middle and we could hear perfectly.
