Have visited this place while I was staying at Intercontinental. The breakfast is included in the package. Their breakfast menu is pretty vast. You can choose one of the main dishes from the menu. The fruits, tarts, yoghurt, crossiant, coffee and juice are included with it. Ordered Intercontinental breakfast which is basically Omelette on sourdough with bacon, sausages, tomato, baked beans and hash brown. It was delish. Loved the quality as well as quantity. Tummy fully satisfied! Also ordered, omelette your way which was scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and chices, served with hash browns and roasted tomatoes. Their latte and cappuccino was fantastic, loved their coffee blend! This place serves quality as the ingredients are fresh and the dishes are flavourful!
Good service average food I ordered the pork belly, as I have in many restaurants before, and I left dissapointed. The pork belly had been boiled, which made it unpleasant to eat and it was very under seasoned. Isn't pork belly supposed to be crispy? The pork belly was served with an underwhelming slaw. The 300gram chicken breast was cooked well but also under seasoned and boring, and to charge $39 for it is a crime. I liked the drinks and the wait staff were friendly. It's a shame the food is so bad considering it's in one of Adelaide's elite hotels.
Experienced the High Tea and now the High Coffee. Such a lovely setting, views of the river would be more beautiful when the renovations finish & the construction fences come down. The restaurant staff were lovely but weren’t too attentive as you would expect at such a restaurant.
Spacious and modern restaurant that’s seldom crowded, but still the food takes a long time to come. Staff is pretty friendly. Food was good. I had Lobster Parpadelle which was delicious! The oysters gave me a slight tummy ache later on in the night though.
Went to the riverside restaurant last night for dinner and was so let down. Ordered the eye fillet steak with mash and broccoli and was so let down on how small the portion was as it said eye fillet streak and got three measly pieces instead. Also ordered the south Australian blue swimmer crab linguine and was also dry and the crab did not taste fresh at all. Was so let down that it was such a nice looking restaurant with such poor food
Helpful and polite. Breakfast was great with a good selection of food on the buffet and you can also order from the menu as well.Food: 5/5

When you order a $65 risotto you would expect it would be a traditionally made risotto. But what we got was an over cooked porridge like rice swimming in cream. The chef should stick to dishes he/she can cook.
Dined here for a wedding. Arrived at 6pm and ordered. Entree arrived after 7pm. Waited till 8pm to recieve the main meal which was warm not hot. Portion sizes are small and overpriced. Steak+ Lobster combo was a SHARED meal. Small size. The sweets seemed to be missing the other half. Plate had dirty marks. Very slow food service despite the restaurant being empty no surprise as to why. Personally wouldn't dine here again or recommend. Waiters very attentive at ensuring we kept hydrated and helpful. The rest of experience was a let down, as expected based on other reviews.
Almost impossible to book a table by phone, two incorrect food drops, small tables, freezing A/C, broken blinds dropping almost hitting patrons and an overcooked wagyu steak. Riverside has a lot to improve on before I consider going back. Our waiter Jasper was the only saving grace but unfortunately no match for the negatives. I would not recommend Riverside Restaurant.
