I've finally found the best fire wood in Geelong/Victoria. I bought a wood fire heater about 6-7 years ago I've tried other companies to support local/country buisness however sticking with Riverina. Bought 2 tonnes for the winter season, 2nd time using the company, great price, great service, the wood is dry and burns well. Thanks for a great product
We recently purchased 2 tonne of redgum firewood paying $900 from Riverina Redgum with whom we have been dealing with for over 20 years. While we have always expected to have to split a few logs to the required size, this year we have found almost three quarters of the wood delivered was too large and unusable without re-splitting. My wife and I are both in our 60's so splitting the wood by hand, especially given the volume and size of the logs is too much for us to handle, so we had to hire a log splitter at an additional cost of $165 and re-split the wood ourselves before we could stack it. All we were offered when we complained was a credit on 'next years' firewood delivery. Clearly Riverina Redgum are either too lazy to split it properly or its more efficient and economical for them to supply large logs - either way we are extremely disappointed and will not be ordering fire wood from them again in the future.
Great business with friendly and helpful staff, simple process - drive in weigh vehicle, load up with whichever wood you would like, weight vehicle again and pay for the difference. Will be back for sure!
This is my first year buying our firewood from Riverina Redgum. They were by far the best price I could find in Geelong. The staff I've met have all been really friendly and super helpful. You can either drive there and load up your trailer/vehicle by hand or you can get a tonne or more delivered to your door. I've recently had wood delivered and it's been super convenient. My first delivery had a good mix, but my second delivery was mainly mid to smaller sized split wood and not to my liking. I like to have larger, thicker pieces of firewood for those long overnight burns. I called Riverina Redgum about this and they were great at offering a resolution to my problem. They also advised that they can cut and split to the customer's preferred size, they'll just need a day's notice to make sure the wood is to your preferences that's great service!!. Looking forward to continuing to buy our firewood from the team at Riverina Redgum.
My partner and I buy a lot of firewood from Riverina and the quality of their red gum in the past has always been fantastic. Until recently we were more than happy to recommend Riverina to our friends but our last load of firewood is green and does not burn well. Our friends are also complaining their wood is not burning and I feel bad for recommending Riverina to them. My partner has spoken to the owner but he does not seemed concerned about selling unseasoned firewood. Very disappointed.
We have been buying wood from Riverina fire supplies for a few years now had no trouble Burning it. But we are really Disappointed with the last 3 trailer loads just won’t burn
