I opted for the dairy free vegan Gelato choices - 3 scoops which were very filling - coconut, dark chocolate and hazelnut. Great tasting Gelato irresistibly smooth, you can definitely taste the difference! They all tasted just what like their name was, a little too similar! The hazelnut definitely didn't taste vegan so that was awesome. Would definitely come back. At such a beautiful location as well next to the water. It was cool coming on a rainy day as there were less people
It was so good I came back twice! The first time I went they ran out of pistachio so I knew I had to go back for it. Definitely no regrets. The queues were long both times but there were many staff so it moved quickly especially when people knew what they want and ordered efficiently. The white chocolate Nutella was a tad too sweet. Salted caramel was lovely. Chocolate is a classic. Pistachio is perfection! Would love to try other flavors if I ever come back to Sydney!
Located near the water, with a few outdoor seating options. The store has interesting and unique flavours - a little bit confusing hahah. The prices are slightly more expensive than most places: $5.80 for one scoop, $7.80 for two, $9.20 for three. The gelato itself, however, was extremely smooth and well made. With the uniqueness of the flavours and the texture of the gelato, I’d say it’s worth it! I had the contessa almonds and amaretti, salted caramel, and bacio chocolate and hazelnut. I’d say the contessa flavour was a bit strong for my liking, but the other two were really good!! It’s unfortunate that the only non-dairy flavours are all fruity, but that’s okay. Staff were good and also adhered to the covid safe rules :
This is one of the best ice cream I've had. So creamy, tasty, and delicious. It's totally worth it to wait in line because the staff are really quick. I think they are my favourite now! I got the hazelnut and coconut and wow!
5/5 hands down. We went there three times in a week. Best gelato in Australia in our opinions. Must try their pistachio flavour!
We discovered Rivareno in Barangaroo by curiosity and the long queue. With superior flavours and quality, Rivareno instantly becomes one of our favourite places for gelato. I tried the coffee, pistachio, coco, and stracciatella; they are all so delicious. Service is great and efficient. I’ll definitely come back for more.
The pistachio gelato was perfect! The texture was thick, creamy and smooth. I definitely want to try every flavour that they have!
I was recently in the area so, on a recommendation I visited Rivareno Gelato Barangaroo. It was before opening, so I had some time to take in the external and internal features of the store. Even a casual glance tells you this is an Italian Gelato vendor presenting its most professional front. Everything from there only confirmed my initial assessment. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and Ilaria was especially patient while I made my selection. Despite Ilaria taking pains to explain the value of a double serve, I settled for a single cone of Cremino Rivareno. White Chocolate and Hazelnut Ganache, with a Gianduia Swirl. I didn’t want to take a chance any subverting any of those unique flavours, and my intuition was right. I don’t think I have ever had a gelato as luscious and creamy, with the individual flavours so discernibly defined. It’s no secret I have a penchant for Gianduia, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed. It’s also an established fact that histories greatest masterpieces have their origins in Italy, and Rivareno Gelato is a clear manifestation of that provenance.
The best ice cream ever period. The ice cream is so fresh and tasty that I'll be visiting again to try something different. A must go for all desert lovers out there. You can really taste the cream in ice-cream here
No tastings are allowed here, so it’s difficult to gauge what flavour you may be paying $6 for and not liking. We got a mascarpone “Alice” flavour and it was far too cheesy so we ended having to throw it away. Bacio was nice. Gelato flavours were nice and thick and creamy, but a tad too thick for the clan, was like a cold ganache and too rich for us personally but that’s just us as we prefer ice cream. Service was not that friendly, gelato was spilt all over cup but no offering to clean it or provide napkins.
