IF you are on a budget you cant go wrong with rite price. I often get cheap fruit and veg and enjoy a wider variety of these than i otherwise would. Can get some real bargains 8xUHT milk for $3. Naturally the stock varies due to it being a clearance store but you indeed get the rite price here
They need to change the name of this place. It doesn't fit their prices. On average this market is 15-30% more expensive than the local Food Works or Service Stations. I remember when this franchise actually gave you a decent enough discount to entice you even though their options are limited. This is not the case with this store.
A grocery clearance store which sells a huge range of discounted fresh, frozen, refrigerated and packaged grocery items. Some items are past their " best before" date, other items are manufacturer over runs, or foods that didn't sell enough to keep on the supermarket shelves. There is a full refund policy if the product fails to live up to its description. There is also a customer loyalty program. Not only value for money, but a lot of these goods would have ended up as landfill, so it's environmentally a good service.
Normally I shop at Rite Price Port Adelaide. The stuff there is fantastic always friendly and helpful. Over the last month the freezer not working. Today I was at Prosect. Good sort of groceries fresh veggies etc.for a good price but the stuff isn't the same....
Bulk purchases can be big savers, have fresh fruit and vegetables that are quite cool. Swells larger slices of meat, eggs, milks, margarine and butter, cheeses, the list can go on.. Check it out.
Rite Price is such a bizarre supermarket. Beside expired Russian beef soup and mountains of generic pasta, they have fancy European chocolate, Maille mustard varieties, brand-name tupperware and Italian sweets. Honestly, I'd go for the sheer novelty value. Not a place to do the weekly shop; the range is a bit unreliable, quality is variable, and it changes often - but you can find some weird and wonderful things.
Confusing that they advertise they give Seniors discount but at the check out l was told they don't. Then another staff member used her staff card to give discount after viewing my Seniors card but the cashier who served me said next time they won't give discount. Like l said, confusing!
Once upon a time this place was Mecca for bargain hunters. For the past couple of years prices have been rising, to the extent that on occasion, some prices are higher than special prices at the supermarkets. In relation to range - they are not a substitute for a supermarket!
Great prices, great service and I always find something that I havent came across in other shops. Like last weekend they have ever lasting gob stoppers, havent seen those big baseball ones since I was a kid.
