Potato scallops, hardly any potato and all batter, were about 3inches in diameter and fried to a crisp. Fish was very ordinary, again too much batter and way over cooked. Will not be going back.

I quite like the fish and chips here. I goto all of them order the same thing this is probably the best one. It's nice when it comes out like this picture BUT.. sometimes you will get the grump of a cook and will just toss it all upside down broken seafood sticks and way over salt it I don't think that guy likes his job other than that it's the best in town.
This is my go-to fish and chip takeaways on the Gold Coast, I normally get a piece of red emperor battered with a lot of chips and it never disappoints, dear I say it, this place rates right up there with my favourite FnC shop in NZ, even though the prices are bit more over here.nFor the record on this occasion, I got the following for $149 - to feed 6 ppln4 large pieces of Red Emperorn1 large serving of chipsn3 steak works burgersn3 pineapple frittersn3 potato frittersn6 crumbed calamari ringsn1 seafood chowdernBBQ, Tomato and tartare sauce
The food was only moderately ok but that's not the complaints there, tho the tomato was old and the lettuce was a bit slimy and the burger was soggy, i can get over that and understand things happen BUT THE Service! my lord I will not go back there simply from the rudeness of the thing serving people, the girl making burgers on the other hand was lovely but the girl serving needs a complete talking to, customer service training and or a slap in the face... one of the two but I'm not here to give either nor receive said rudeness so will go elsewhere next timen
