What a fantastic place and great selection of guitars!! I bought an acoustic guitar last December and I'm very happy with the choice. It was an amazing experience! I felt welcomed and the atmosphere was the kind of a special place. I also had the honour to have a quick chat with Mr Richard! Epic!
I purchased a Furch blue OM CM from richards guitars that arrived a few days ago. This guitar is stunning! Richards Guitars are so easy to deal with, the guitar arrived in about 10 days which was less time than I was originally planning for, it was extremely well packaged and the setup was spot on..I literally just have to press the strings to fret them. I was kept up to date through out the process from ordering to delivery. If you want to order a guitar for next day delivery then this place isn't for you, but if you want a quality instrument that's been setup correctly then use richards guitars. Now all I need to do is persuade the girlfriend that I need a red series in my life!
Fantastic selection of instruments at Richards. When I arrived John had several guitars already lined up for me to try and I was left on the sofa to try out as many as I Iiked. Soon picked out my favourite. Most pleasurable buying experience and I thoroughly recommend them if you are looking for a new instrument.
Fantastic experience, top quality service, no pressure or pushing you to buy, couldn't be happier. The staff are all amazing, very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, a nice selection amazing of guitars. Definitely book an appointment and try them before spending money at a high street/ mainstream guitar shop. You get so much more guitar for your money, and is set up to perfection. I got a Dowina Pure and it plays and sounds better than 99% of the guitars my local guitar shop, most of which were at least twice the price. Can't recommend Richards Guitars enough
Saw a guitar on the website that I'd been looking for, communicated via chat in the evening and had it is my hands at opening time. Super friendly, relaxed staff, great advice. Nothing is too much trouble. The range of guitars is quite unique. Not the expected Taylor, Martin etc which are available elsewhere if you are into the names and don't mind paying. Instead Richard's has a carefully curated list. Everything is there for a reason and everything is surprising.
Recently collected my Eastman AC222 from Richards store. The guitar plays even better than in the showroom, a beautiful setup was included with the purchase. The most relaxed guitar purchasing experience I have had. The guys on the studio floor were easy going and really nice chaps. Thanks again all.
Ordered a Furch Blue Deluxe from the guys and was made well aware of the lead time, which was not a problem. The week it arrived I had a bereavement that meant I wasn't able to think about the guitar. They kept it for me for 9 weeks having only had the deposit, without chasing or hassling me and were understanding throughout, which was massively appreciated. Great customer service from Jon and Jake and when I was ready to go, the guitar was paid and delivered the next day. It's a great instrument and I'm really enjoying playing again. Thanks guys, I really do appreciate how understanding you have been.
Great site, helpful staff, informative videos on YouTube, I would whole heartedly recommend! Richard's ethos of selling high quality guitars made in the UK and Europe is so refreshing and shows just how many high quality locally made instruments there are for so much less money than a Taylor, Martin or Gibson! I bought a hand made Auden Chester 45m Artist Series and a hand made Gordon Smith Custom S and can't believe the value for money - these guitars should be priced much higher ! Richard and Jon were great to bounce ideas off and tailored the spec of the guitars that were right for me. I'd say get in touch and see where the process leads! Already got my eye on a Furch from Richard's online shop ... just need to get saving!
I’m delighted with the purchase of my beautiful Dowina guitar and can’t recommend Richard’s Guitars highly enough. I’d tried a few of the larger shops as well as a couple of smaller names but I didn’t feel comfortable trying stuff out and the quality of advice was sketchy at best. After some very helpful online chat support, I booked an appointment to try out a Faith model but I was gently encouraged to try a few other options based on my requirements. When I arrived, a range of guitars was laid out and I was left to try them out in my own time. Jake, who helped me, was excellent. He was on hand, as needed, and offered advice without being intrusive or pushy. It’s clear there’s a focus on low volume, quality producers and I can see why. In the end, I opted for a hand built, solid wood, rosewood and cedar model from Dowina who hadn’t been on my radar previously. To top it all off the service included a full setups. And, despite these excellent levels of quality assurance, the guitar was with me within a couple of days, well packaged and securely delivered. Overall, excellent! Good job and thank you.
