Yum!!!! Will be returning. I can definitely understand why you need to make a booking to eat here. The kids were very happy and demolished their food mickey mouse pizza and beef ravioli. They loved seeing that their pizza was made from real dough and went into the woodfire. My squid ink pasta was delicious too. Service was attentive and atmosphere was great. Great restaurant!
Me and my partner had an early dinner here. We hadn't made a reservation though luckily we had gone early as it was quite busy with a few bigger group party reservations. The place was quite lively and had a great atmosphere which we enjoyed. We had ordered the Parma & Burrata as a starter and very much enjoyed this starter. There was a generous serving of prosciutto, the bread was crispy but soft and can never go wrong with burrata. For our mains we had ordered two pastas: Rigatoni Alla Vodka + Fettuccine. We had ordered too much not necessarily a bad thing as was able to enjoy leftovers the following day as we weren't able to finish the pasta. From the two pastas we ordered, I had preferred the rigatoni alla vodka. Not to say the fettuccine was bad at all. The dessert was definitely the highlight! I'm a little biased having a sweet tooth. We had ordered the Crispy Nutella Ravioli. The only negative is I wish it was a bigger serving but the pillow pasta was crispy with a crunch and when combined on a spoon with the nutella that filled it and the gelato and raspberries it was bliss!!! I would definitely dine here again when I re-visit the Central Coast and this restaurant would very much have my recommendation to eat at!
We have just left Rhondas Italian Restaurant and this was BY FAR the BEST meal we have ever ever had!! The pizza was as traditional as it gets with the most perfect wood fired base as the real star Beautiful fresh cocktails and knockout desserts to finish off an incredible dinner . Thank you so much to the talented chefs and awesome friendly staff. We can’t wait for next time Absolutely Bellissimo!!
Very nice place. Stylish simple interior. Loved the roof top bar with the view on the Terrigal relaxed street and ocean view with a rainbow :. Good food: recommending arancini probably best I’ve had so far, La Diavola pizza - loaded with quality salami and by far the best freshly baked focaccia never thought I’ll ever rave about a bread - yum! Very friendly and skilled bar staff try the Campari cocktail!. I just have to mention the customer service for the booking: because of covid contact tracing I had to change my booking 3 times and there was no resentment at any point, just a friendly, “no problem” reply then follow up to ensure I know about the different menus on both floors etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if they ordered that rainbow above the bar on the day ;P
I have booked this online as the long weekend was very busy and other places were packed. Found it very confusing as I probably did not research enough and I assumed that by choosing upstairs, you only choose where you want to eat your dinner. However the restaurant is downstairs and upstairs are pizzas and a bar. Luckily we found pizzas to be very good for someone who is very fussy about pizzas. The dough was fantastic and the toppings just right. Great prosciutto pizza. Drinks were adequate, bartender was good and made some classic cocktails that were not on the menu. One downside, the tall stools are not very comfortable and the bench is very narrow. You're juggling your drinks and pizzaz all the time. Lacking somewhat in atmosphere but still, a good alternative to other food places in the area. We enjoyed our evening.
A beautiful, modern & funky Italian restaurant around the corner from the main street of Terrigal offering a huge & delicious sounding menu. The space fills light, fresh with plants hanging off the ceiling, exposed brick walls & a colourful wall lined cocktail bar. I was so excited by many of the menu items & decided on the de funghi woodfired pizza, lasagne, squid ink fettucine, ravioli & caprese salad. The pizza was absolutely phenomenal with a lovely woodfired char, thin lightly chewy base & simple but delicious toppings. The caprese salad was fresh with a nice mozzarella & balsamic drizzled over the top. The pasta dishes were more hit & miss. The ravioli was delicious with a lovely burnt butter & sage sauce. Squid ink pasta was lovely but the sauce was bitter as if the caramelised onion had been burnt. The dish was meant to come with crab meat which seemed extremely scarce. There were 2 chunks of seafood in my pasta & it didnt seem like crab but fish. This was the most disappointing dish. The Lasagne comes in a cast iron pan & was a hearty comfort food dish. It would have been more delicious if the meat sauce had been cooked longer to be less acidic & thicker - it was too watery & not reduced enough & you could not scoop out a slice or lasagne as it would flop and fall apart. Overall the pasta dishes were disappointing. The wine list is concise & offers Italian & Australian varieties at reasonable prices. The staff are lovely & service is friendly & efficient and the pizza is definitely a hit & the go-to here.
Pizza was nice, if slow coming out. Mixed reception from staff. Some were lovely, although I found some other members to be quite condescending. In hospitality, when you're only as good as your last meal, it's basic business 101 to be respectful if you want returning customers.
Friendly staff, fantastic Italian food, well stocked bar - all round great time!
I was very excited to try give this place a go after seeing how many good reviews there were but after paying $146 for 2 pizza, 2 pasta and a salad, we were truly disappointed and disgusted. The pizza was fine and it's freshly made but the pasta were all stuck together by the time we dig into it. The portion was also very small. The worse is the salad! We've found 2 little bugs within the salad! For safety precautions, we did not dare to consume the salad so that went straight into the bin. I've tried to contact them on their website and the site said they will reply in 1-2 days but that did not happen. Will not recommend this place.
Came to Terrigal for the weekend and ate here 3 times. It’s that good! Everything is so fresh and the staff are super friendly especially Nat! We had the pizzas, the pasta and even the paninis at lunch.. everything was fantastic! Already looking forward to our net visit back.
