Michael and his team put in a great effort during trying COVID affected times. They helped us refine our design and navigate a complex and potentially trouble laden process. His team helped us settle on a design, meet approvals, and prepare a contract. Michael showed boundless energy and patience throughout our time together and assisted us every step of the way. He has an in-depth knowledge of the building industry and an honest and straightforward approach to all he works on. He is patient and an excellent communicator. We couldn’t recommend him more highly.
We have been working with Michael and Trevor on the design and tender process for a major renovation of a Victorian house in Richmond. This was our first major renovation, and Michael's ongoing advice on the process was extremely useful. Trevor was very patient with our multiple requests for alternative drawings during the design phase, and we subsequently converged on a design that I think makes the best use of our space. The tender process that Michael organised was very thorough, and at the end of it we felt that we had all the information required to make an informed decision on who to take on as our builder. I can confidently recommend RTF Solutions.
We have been working with Michael and Trevor on a major renovation to our Heritage listed Californian Bungalow. Both Michael and Trevor led us through each step including council approvals. They also worked very well with our interior designer in getting us to the point of building. We engaged Michael to also tender for builders which resulted in substantial savings and we are very happy with the result. The savings in tendering more than offset the costs. I would recommend RFT to anyone looking to engage a company to lead them through a build or renovation.
Michael and Trevor helped us with the design, permits and tender for our extension. We are now mid-build and have been very happy with the whole process. It feels like it has gone very smoothly and with a lot less stress than I expected. Trevor provided us with a design we liked and worked with the three planning overlays on our property. He was very patient with our many revisions and mind changes along the way. Getting the planning permit took a long time thanks Darebin Council! but was all handled by RFT. Having the estimator to make sure we were getting permits for something we could actually afford to build was excellent. Michael has held our hand throughout the whole process and was always ready to answer questions and explain things which was wonderful and very reassuring. The tender process and the builders recommended by RFT were great and we have been very happy so far with Kerry the builder and with the quotes we received. Michael looked through the contract for us before we signed which was also very helpful. Would definitely recommend RFT to others.
Working with Michael and the team at RFT Solutions has been a pretty painless experience, which anyone who has ever done a renovation will know is fairly unusual! Having someone to project manage the process from design until construction was great, especially getting us some really competitive quotes for the build. Great communication, very accessible, and knowledgeable. Great experience all round.
RFT was extremely helpful during the planning and drafting stage, including dealing with council and acting as a mediator with difficult neighbours. The initial costing estimate proved to be helpful and accurate. These costings helped us scope the renovation to our needs and within budget. Your building cost estimates were spot on and you dealt with council to obtain the permits. Your communications with our neighbour were what helped obtain the building permit. Could not believe the difference between builders quotes simply due to their huge profit margins but we had 2 builders within our budget to choose from and were extremely happy that we chose Scott who did a outstanding job.
