My first time eating at the Rex in a long time and was pleasantly surprised. The girls in the bistro were exceptionally friendly and the service was fantastic. The food was very well priced and the quality was amazing. Not just a roadside pub, the experience was great and I will definitely be back.
Have come here a few times since the renovations and it's honestly been a game-charger - SO good! The staff are super nice, the prices are very affordable especially for the serving sizes, the bistro is gorgeous and accessible, we've been really pleasantly surprised with the quality of food we've tried a bunch of pub classics and some seasonal specials, and we LOVE waltzing over to the sports bar for a drink and a game of pool. Definitely recommend as a reliably great local feed
Am staying here for a couple of nights for work nearby. Room clean and comfortable.nDinner in the bistro was superb. Nick at the bar is very helpful.nThe drink voucher on check in is a nice touch.nDid I mention the good food?
Had lunch today. Big group 20 + 10 x under 10 years. For a 9 year old Birthday. Went after a Bounce session. Kids meals came out promptly and then adult meals were delivered with no fuss and no mistakes. All delicious. Bar staff super helpful and positive. Checked in to ensure all was OK. Wait staff efficient and friendly. Great experience considering taking kids out. No kids area or anything like some pubs but big enough to accommodate. We'll done.
Absolutely the best garlic prawns on the main menu. Eaten here a few times, always a great schnitzel and the garlic prawns are large, succulent and most beautiful. Thank you chef.
