The library is a beautiful space with a wonderful selection of books and plenty of areas to sit, read, and work. It is a calm and inspiring environment, perfect for study and focus.nThe only improvement I would suggest is to encourage a quieter and more considerate atmosphere inside. At times, eating, loud conversations, and phone use can be distracting for those trying to concentrate or enjoy reading. It can also affect the overall atmosphere when food and strong smells are present in shared indoor spaces.nIt might be helpful to have clearer signs reminding visitors to keep noise to a minimum, silence their phones, and enjoy meals outside the library area. This would help maintain a peaceful environment for everyone to fully enjoy this otherwise lovely public space. In my opinion that for library is.  In my opinion, a library is a place for quietness and focus. That is what a library is made for.

I took my rates rebate request in and of course didn't have the correct paperwork. The librarian was fantastic! Got me sorted with the computer and printed the correct document I needed. All done in a rush because it was nearly closing time. In fact, because it was so close to closing she offered to sort the whole application if I left the paperwork with her.nHow fabulous is that?

I mean like its functional for picking up and dropping off books. Pity the designers of the new library never visited devonport library so could have reimagined some character into orewa. Oh well too late.

Beautifully renewed library.  I love the baby, kids section. Very entertaining for the little ones.

An excellent place to visit. Highly recommend. Great staff who are always willing to help and assist.
