Staff was kindly greeting, I ordered medium hotpot w green bean salad and I loved it. All the foods were delicious and well nutritional. Always wanted to try vegan cafe and I finally made it here!
Pretty good vegan food that just needs a tad bit of balancing. Food: while we totally understand that Revive is very much the cafeteria style of food service, there are some minor improvements that could be made to take this place to the five star level for us. A great example would be a savory pie special sort of a shepherds pie. The flavors were fantastic and the TVP was generous. However, the TVP absorbed all the moisture and the dish was incredibly dry. A gravy or sauce was much needed to balance the dish's textures in the mouth. Similarly, many of the salads seem to have very similar flavor profiles. As such, if you pick the wrong salads, you may feel like you're eating the same thing over and over. Regardless, it was all good and we would go back for lunch anytime. Service: kind and quick for cafeteria serving. No complaints! Atmosphere: a little basic, but clean and modern!
It has a great range of salads and soups. The smallest salad option is just $112 choices and it is massive. They use delicious, fresh ingredients. It is very clean. There is lots of tables and seating. It is convenient in the central city, but due to this location there is no outdoor area, it is not wheelchair/blind friendlystairs at entry, and there is no on street parking or private parking area. There is a lovely clean bathroom. The staff are really friendly. It is easy to get take away. There is a lot of business people around lunchtime, and the ambiance is more metropolitan, and less child and family friendly.
Delicious vegetarian food. I had the large option of a hot casserole with cauliflower rice and two salad sides of my own choosing, which was plenty. I probably should order the medium next time, but I won't, because it was too good. The salad options were amazing; I photographed the menu for a bit of inspiration for my own cooking. Friendly, efficient service.
Great vegetarian food. Beautiful choices of hot food with great salads. This is my favorite when I come to Auckland. Prices are great and you get a great meal for under $20. Only serves during the day, usually has a que out the door at lunch times. Need one of these in Christchurch
Got it as a present from my partner's work Love the compostable packaging, portion size and variety. The mocka slice is the most delicious chocolatey slice I've tried! I wanted to eat the whole box at once! Not sugary, full of goodness and a nice pinch of salt. It definitely lifted my spirit. We tried their lasagna as well and my little toddler ate the whole thing! Made our family so happy and we'll definitely be ordering again great option as a care package for friends or family members who are sick or need a bit of emotionally support.
My favourite lunch restaurant for the last month! Must be checked out by anyone who is looking for good food in the CBD, very central, very fresh and very healthy. You will not miss any animal source protein anymore.
It’s been so long since I’ve been to Revive! I walked a total of 30 minutes to get there and back but was definitely worth it. I love how they always ask if you want some hummus to go with the dish and I always go for the delicious potatoes for the salad option. If only they could open a branch/move to Wynyard Quarter, that would be a dream come true!
I've ordered goods twice online from revive's website now and both times have been very happy. Delivery is fast, the items are very well packed, and most importantly the items are fresh and delicious! Very good communication throughout the ordering process from start to finish which I appreciate too. Thanks team!
Three years ago, my sister & I got food poisoning from a meal bought from Revive Cafe. We know this to be true, because we shared the meal at 8pm one evening, and 7.5 hours later both of us were puking our guts out. The store completely denied responsibility. Reposting because it seems my old review was removed. Hopefully not relevant now [for both food safety and customer service reasons], but I personally feel it is important not to allow a business to sweep past misdeeds under the rug just because it inconvenient for business.
