Story

Reverse Garbage Queensland is a not-for-profit worker run co-operative that promotes environmental sustainability and resource reuse.

We collect high quality industrial discards, diverting them away from landfill and sell them at a low cost to the general public.

We run a variety of environment and waste focused art workshops and educational talks and tours to suit every age and group. We also run a mail order service and host gallery and gift shop, Reverse Emporium promoting local artists, craft workers and designers who salvage, reuse and up-cycle materials.

Our warehouse is open to the public and located at 20 Burke St, Woolloongabba, QLD, 4102. The warehouse is open Monday to Saturday from 9am - 5pm.

Mission

To financially support basic infrastructure and further the environmental education aims and objectives of Friends of the Earth-Brisbane Co-op Ltd by engaging in the creative and sustainable reuse of resources within the community.

Products

Reverse Garbage Queensland collects industrial discards from more than 300 businesses around Brisbane diverting them away from landfill and making them available at low cost to the community. The warehouse is brimming with colourful and interesting materials. With a new truckload arriving almost every day, the stock is always changing!

These materials are suitable for a variety of uses including art and craft, jewellery and costume making, theatre and film sets, party decoration, furniture and odd jobs around the home. Not only are these materials available at a fraction of the cost of purchasing new materials, but buying from Reverse Garbage Queensland also helps you to reduce your personal ecological impact.
