As expected, the place was quite basic. The staff were very friendly and the walls are fairly soundproof. It wasn’t a problem for me, but I noticed that the fridge was broken - it would not close.

Booked thru Expedia & looked good enough. (male travelling alone just want basics done ok) Doubts started with empty, weed infested parking lot with what looked like derelict abandoned vehicles with flat tyres. Reception straight from 1979 but with 40 years of wear (Spanish pattern on tiled floor worn away - didn't know tiles could look like that) Check in bloke was friendly but scruffy, room however was tired, old stained, holed carpet, nasty cheap sheets, broken fittings & odd glued strip of foam on floor of bathroom. View if overgrown yard & Great Western Highway sounds unabated by poorly sealed old ranch slider. Did something never done before & checked out 'cause it was not good enough - they were decent and gave me a refund. See on whatif rooms for $22 - if you can olny afford & paid backpacker dorm rates & got this you'd be chuffed but not up to expected $100/night motel standards - caveat emptor. (ps booking was "superior" room)
